This place has decent value private rooms, for similar price to dorms in a lot of places. The manager is very friendly and helpful, probably you will end up with your photo on his wall of guests! The rooms are fairly small but perfectly OK with a small double bed, small bathroom with towels, toiletries, robe. They manage to pack in a lot here, TV, fridge, table, stool. There is a complimentary breakfast of tea/coffee, bun, can of juice, banana, hard boiled egg. The location is good, about 10 minuted walk from the station and 2 minutes from the Bizan ropeway.

Friendly place with decent price rooms

I stayed only one night in the Avanti hotel and I think it's a good option if you don't have a lot of money for your stay. The people was really kind.
The hotel situation is really good, only 700 meters from the station and closer also from the ropeway.
About the room, it's really the necessary. The bed was good but could be better. The small breakfast I had for the price was ok.

small but correct

This place is really close to Tokushima's dance museum and the cable car up Mount Bizan, and the location is probably the best thing about it. While rooms have been kept clean they're old, stained and worn out. We booked the non-smoking floor but our rooms still smelt of stale cigarette smoke. It was fine for a night - the staff were amiable too - but wouldn't be my top choice. They have a board up with photos of foreign guests but I imagine people stay there just because it can be reserved online. 

It's ok for a night

Rooms are very small, but that is usual here in Japan. The whole of the hotel smells like cigarette smoke. The walls are brown. Breakfast is a bum in plastic with a small can of Orange juice. The location is very good. The concierge is very nice and helpful.

Old, smelly hotel

Friendly, central moderate budget hotel. All you could need including breakfast. No laundry but coin operated one 3 minutes away. Close to Festival Dance Centre and Bizan hilltop ropeway for city view. Henro Pilgrims welcome.
