23 reviewsWriting this review a bit late but I definitely owe this one to Eric (the owner of the property). Hakuba has been a must visit on Christmas since last 3 years and this time i chose Backcountry Cottage (and i made the best choice) Eric and his wife are the best hosts when it comes to knowing your Customer needs and Hime (Golden Retriever, Star of the property) is the Cherry on the top. Right from Day 1, we felt like its a Home Coming on a Festival. The property has cozy and beautiful view rooms. A nice fire place and a common area (if you’d like to dine). They serve delicious breakfast ! A must mention is you should accompany Hime when she goes for a walk in snow. You would want to be a child again. Eric has been like a God sent to me when my car broke down in middle of snow (about 10 kms away from the property after checking out). He personally drove to this Dangerously slippery road where my car was stuck. He helped us in reaching out to JAF and getting the Car out. He did not leave till he made sure that we are good to go. I would recommend everyone to try Backcountry Cottage and check out the service and dedication towards customers
