Our room was very spacious and comfortable. The room decor was very interesting; not sure which era it was from but was definitely very Venetian! To be honest, we didn't spend much time at the hotel as our days were spent in Venice. Nonetheless, it was a pleasant base to return to every night. We took the water taxi daily to Venice, which was very enjoyable. A similar hotel in Venice itself would cost so much more. Buffet breakfast at the hotel was very expensive but note that there is a quaint bakery just around the corner that has everything you need. There was also a very well stocked small grocery store nearby, so you have lots of options just minutes away. Lido di Venezia is very nice and we are glad that we didn't go with accommodations in Mestre, as Lido di Venezia with the water taxi rides and its quaintness makes the Venetian experience complete.
