Hotel La Residenza is just a few minutes away from San Zaccaria water bus stop and a lovely stroll from St. Marks Square. It is in a quiet courtyard with the restaurants and bars in Arsenale literally just around the corner. The hotel is traditionally Venician with stunning interiors and a lovely feel. Its immaculate too and very well run. Check-in and check-out was easy, our room was spacious and authentic in style and very clean. We were on the ground floor so couldnt open our window though as everyone in the courtyard could see directly into our room! So, if you have a choice ask for a room on an UPPER floor overlooking the courtyard! The breakfast was in the main drawing room which was beautiful. It consisted of shop bought croissants, cold meat, cheese, fruit, yogert and musli, plus orange juice, water and tea/coffee, so quite basic but a good start to the day. I enjoyed my stay very much and would definitely return, I would just ask for a room on the upper floor so I can actually open a window!
