Hotel Garni Hubertus

Stayed here for 3 nights as part of a European Road trip - wished we had booked in for longer. The hotel was a little hard to find but only because of road works which confused our sat-nav. You do need to take care though as the road to the hotel is narrow. Once there parking is good. The hotel looks down on Merano so the views are spectacular. Steps lead down to the town which means you don't have to drive to enjoy a meal in town. You do need to be capable of climbing back up from the town to the hotel - 15 minutes at a good pace up the steps. The hotel has been modernised - bedroom had a balcony overlooking the pool. Everything you could need was provided in the room although the glass bathroom may not be to everyone's taste. Breakfast is served downstairs - there are some tables next to the pool which are lovely however if the hotel is busy you will have to eat inside. Breakfast was a very good Continental with eggs cooked any stye should you so wish. In the evening it was lovely sitting by the pool enjoying a drink. The owner was very pleasant and helpful. We loved our stay here.
