My room was small but quite comfortable, it did have a beautiful outdoor patio with an overhead vine and small bistro tables. The folks at the front desk were fantastic! Warm and welcoming, even got my group tickets for a Papal Mass without my asking! Very nice breakfast on site or several doors down. Very convenient location. You walk to St Peter’s or to restaurants on Via Andrea Doria. The bus to the historic center is right outside the door and the Cipro metro station is a block away. Would definitely stat there again.

What an absolute gem of a place to stay. Vatican just round the corner. Metro and bus stops very close. Big supermarket nearby(behind, off main st). Clean apartment, very comfy beds with plenty of pillows, well equipped kitchen(not that we used it!),  Helpful and friendly reception staff(free map at reception)
Myself, husband, plus 3 teenagers and a 4year old had a wonderful stay, at a fantastic price! Couldn't have wanted for a better located apartment! 

Family of 6, first time in Rome.

We spent a week here and found it perfect. We had a four bed room, I paid a little more as we did only need 3 beds but saw those cheaper rooms were smaller. It’s 2mins from the metro, we walked most of the time, as that’s what we went for, to see Rome. Our room was cleaned every day, the place was great and I would stay there again. Don’t expect 4* service if your using this price bracket of accommodation. The stairs and lifts all work, and there are little roof gardens in different places. Great little place for visiting Rome on a budget with your family. And yep the tv is in Italian, how odd, as we are in Italy. The free WiFi worked a treat, allowing us to book all our trains and events in the evenings. The staff were polite and courteous. 

Perfect for the price

Had the pokiest, most old fashioned depressing room I've ever stayed in!! Staff were ok but the building is cramped. Narrow walk throughs and our room was horrible!! Broken dirty heater under stained curtains. A safe that could be carried out of room. Horrible old tv with not one English channel and the tiny oven, microwave and cupboards were grubby and ancient!! We looked onto a depressing row of buildings with people screaming and shouting into the early hours. Sadly would not recommend at all!! 

Oh dear!!

We spent one-week vacation in Rome and booked this residence due to great location and reasonable price. I was looking for an appartment, but Candia is not a typical appartment - it has reception! So no need to call the owner and schedule meeting to get keys. The staff was extremely friendly, the room was cleaned every day. The appartment was big and clean. And, as I said, the location is great - few steps from Vaticano Museums entrance, metro station, supermarkets, big market with lot of fresh food. I recommend Candia for families.
