We enjoyed our stay here. Dafna was extremely friendly and helpful. Breakfast was surprisingly rich. The rooms are basic and not perfectly maintained but the atmosphere is great with nice grounds and friendly neighbors. For Israel it's also reasonably priced. Easily recommended and we'll be happy to return.

A place to come back to

The kibbutz are not known for being luxury getaways, but rather an immersive experience. Out of all the ones we stayed at, shomrat was the best kibbutz. The meals were extensive with options, while the food may not have been 5 star. The rooms were comfortable enough. The staff was kind to let me and another person eat late when we had an emergency to deal with. There was even a club on site!
Also the wifi could be improved in rooms but was good enough outside the rooms.

For what it is, it's good!

I stayed here on the first night of my Birthright trip. We had 3 people to a room and we each got our own twin bed. The room was spacious and both the room and the bathroom were nice and clean. 

We had a room on the second floor, it's set up motel-style. For dinner that night and breakfast the next morning, we had a communal dining experience, but just with our group and it seemed like one other Birthright group. 

Overall I'd recommend this place if you're looking for a more rural / different experience. Sheets were a little scratchy but that is my only complaint.

Clean and good food

I called to make a reservation for a weekend. Gave my cc information for holding and was told a conformation would be sent to assure what I was getting. The confirmation was never sent. A few weeks later they "asked if I would be arriving" as they had overbooked a fact they didn't tell me. I said I had not received a confirmation so from my perspective the reservation was void. They said they sent a confirmation that they didn't and had the tenacity to say "I am not doubting that you didn't receive the confirmation but I have no way of telling that you are telling the truth". They charged 20% of the bill which I will have my credit card challenge. STAY AWAY!!!!!!

Incompatant with questionable intergrity

I stayed here my very first night in Israel and everyone in the Kibbutz was so nice to us. They treated us like family. We ate every meal there as a family and the rooms were pretty nice. If they had wifi they would have been even better.
