For sure a highlight of our time in Ireland. Our hostess could not have been more accommodating. We like to picnic for lunch, and she provided us with homemade bread and sweets. She's an excellent baker. She also stored some of our food in their refrigerator, a very nice thing to do.

Our room was quiet and spacious, breakfast very fortifying. We found the short walk to town was no problem and kept us away from the noise of the pubs. It's about 15 minutes easy walking to Eyre Square.  We did not drive so it was a bit far to haul suitcases; Uber would not pick up there on our departure date, but we booked a cab. Our hostess said she'll call a cab if you need one.

If you drive there's parking right in front.

A Fine Stay in Galway

Stayed with a group of 9 middle aged men! Accommodation was lovely! Close to Galway centre. The stay was made memorable by how Teresa, our host, looked after us!! Lovely lady with great staff. Would not hesitate to recommend. Thanks again Teresa ❤️👍

Very clean, roomy, just wonderful downtown quiet BnB! Theresa bakes and prepares fresh breakfast! Quiet location but near a lot of stores, pubs/restaurants in walking distance. Lovely BnB! Lovely stay!

Wonderful, clean and close to great pubs/restaurants

We stayed here for several nights and it was such a treat. It felt like home away from home. Teresa is lovely and the breakfasts are home made and delicious. Rooms are clean and the location is in walking distance (within 20 minutes) to places like the train station, Eyre square, the Latin quarter and more.  Would definitely stay here again but book in advance because space fills up quickly.

Little Galway Gem

Not the Hilton but quaint and satisfactory. Hosts friendly and helpful and the service was good without being exceptional.
We had a 2nd floor room which was basically in the attic. Getting a couple of 20 kg suitcases up the very narrow stairs was a challenge and something to be very aware of if you aren’t a body builder. There was a low slanted ceiling above the loo and I banged my head several times when taking a pee. Breakfast was ok but thin on options for cooked meals (I wanted scrambled eggs but could only get fried). The property was clean and well serviced daily. Overall, rating 7 out of 10.

Nice place to stay near town Centre.

We stayed in the Balcony House B & B in Galway for 2 nights in July. Teresa and her staff are very welcoming and helpful in making recommendations on things to do and places to see. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The breakfast is made-to-order and delicious. It is located only 10-minutes walking distance from the center of downtown. They have a private parking lot for guests. We highly recommend staying with Teresa at Balcony House.

Enjoyed Our Stay!

We enjoyed two nights in May 2023 at the Balcony House. The proprietor Teresa is gracious, friendly and helpful. The baked goods she makes for breakfast are wonderful. Our room was comfortable and very clean. Though it was on the street side of a main road, noise was not a factor. We enjoyed the short and easy walk to the touristy area of the city, and really appreciated the on-site parking. When we return to Galway, we hope we can stay here again.

Good location, exceptional proprietor.

10/10-  Myself and my Husband were greeted by the most lovely and welcoming lady, I believe she owns the place and lives in the downstairs room, she was so accommodating, polite and so so helpful with directions, tourist information ect. she is a credit to the place. bed was very comfortable. Room was spacious, bathroom, shower, fresh towels, tea&coffee facilities, everything you’d need. . all for a really cheap price. 5 star in my eyes!

brilliant experience

Theresa the owner was super nice.  The room was excellent.  Short walk to wonderful restaurants for dinner and pubs with live music  The walk to Galway town centre is under ten minutes.  Very nice breakfast with coffee maker, many fresh fruits and fresh bread plus great Irish breakfast. parking easy right out front.

Excellent location, the rooms were clean and spacious and our host Theresa was very welcoming.  It was a comfortable walk to the center of Galway and the people and sites were wonderful. We would definitely stay again if I get back to Ireland.
