stayed at this lodge last Friday the 19th and Saturday 20th August. I can honestly say this was an amazing place to stay for €30 a night. Lovely big room en suite. Clean and comfortable. Free tea and coffee help yourself and cereals in the morning. Noel the owner was super friendly and helpful. I was able to iron a shirt and pants. Also excellent location. I'll definitely stay here again.

We had never been to ireland, but our first night there was at Banner Lodge. It is a quiet comfortable place. The rooms are large, the beds are comfortable. Everything is very clean. Free breakfast the next morning was very good. We talked with the owner and he does everything he can to make sure your stay is to your liking. I would highly recommend.

The location and the staff were great!  My room was ready although I arrived early.  My request to borrow a fan was granted!!  Continental breakfast was generous.   The street noise begins very early, and continues late into the evening, a consequence of being in the great location.  Because there is no A/C, my window was open, so I needed ear plugs to get good night's sleep.  If I pass this way again, I would enjoy staying here again!

Stayed here for one night very easy to find and very central to all pubs and restaurants was met by the owner who was very helpful on where to go that evening . The room was fine comfy except for the radiator pipes banging most of the night . Breakfast was ok cereal,  breads,tea toast and fruit . Would recommend a stay here especially for the price and location .

Very central 

Stayed here recently. Picked it because of the price mainly and decent reviews. For 33 euro it was decent. Great location, nice staff. However, the room could have done with a proper clean. Carpet dirty, bedware with stains, even the toilet seat was dirty. The room was fine and comfy for a one night stay but I got woken in the night by a very noisy radiator banging behind the bed. Breakfast was included in the 33 euro and was nice. 

Basic accommodation that could be cleaner

We booked this place because I have knee problems that make being in town a real benefit. We booked a year and a half ahead. When arriving we did not even get past the scruffy entrance. A not nice or sympathetic man informed him that he did not have a diary when we booked and so we did not have a room.Oh and you only booked two nights anyway was his comment. He has booked us into a B&B out of town. Fortunately the B&B Lady was awesome.Do not rely on this person to provide you with a room as it may not be there when you arrive. This man obviously got more money or a longer booking and we became cannon fodder.
