Called in for food as we were passing through after a day at the beach in Wexford.
Visited many years ago remembering the good food we said we’d call in again.
We were well taken care of and the staff were friendly and efficient, the food was really tasty and the portions generous.
We really enjoyed our meals, we’ll worth a visit.

Very good food chips so nice not too pricey I recommend the chicken wings great place for families and party events would definitely recommend the food I got was great I couldn’t fault it the wait time for the food wasn’t too bad at all great restaurant

Love this place e have been going for years from job nights out staying over to just travel to there for breakfast always fresh food staff are lovely highly recommend love here never forget joe gentleman

My cousin called over yesterday and we decided to head to Blessington lakes but on the way I said drive a bit further and we can get a pint and a sandwich. When we entered Germaines it was not the place I knew as a child. Firstly the staff were fantastic and very friendly. We ordered chicken wings and a pint for myself Gavin was driving so water for him. The wings are a 10/10 for me sauce was just right a bit spicy but not too saucy and Gav polished away 80% of them . I had ordered a main of chicken breast and chips and what came to me was amazing. A very large breast, chicken, bowl of mushrooms, bowl of peppers & onions, bowl of chips and both pepper and tomato sauces. As I was paying I overheard a customer booking a room and only Gav had another meeting we would have booked two rooms and travel around this beautiful part of the country. I highly recommend Germaines and if by chance you just want the old traditional bar just walk in the front door. 

Breakfast and dinner was lovely, the evening meal was amazing, accompanied by aideen’s amazing service couldn’t recommend more 5+++ visit is If you want an unforgettable experience. Would visit again, A++

We're regulars here....and it never fails!! The food is excellent in with the bar or rear restaurant. Sunday carvery lunch is the best for miles and great value. All the staff are friendly and helpful. Recommended to everyone.    

As review title suggests,  top class food and staff,  I would  highly recommend , great breakfast,  carvery  , and evening meal,  well worth  a visit especially sunday lunch , great seating if you have good numbers we with you

I recently arrived as part of a large group of cyclists, 30+. We stopped for breakfast and it was fantastic, so much to choose from and all lovely and fresh. Despite our large group there were no delays in getting us fed and we were dealt with by fast, efficient and pleasant staff. Would highly recommend it and I would definitely go back.  

We had previously been here & we're so happy we decided to return. We had prebooked to have 15 people for the breakfast. Sadly two of our group had mechanical problems that kept them from being able to join us. From the politeness of the staff to the quality of the food, there is nothing I can say was not up to standard. This place is superb. Not a sign of a greasy plate and everything was cooked to our liking.

Had an overnight stay here recently. Rooms were fine, spotless clean. A bit on the small side, but had everything we needed for one nights stay. Food was absolutely amazing, wanted to stay for longer just eat more. Would definitely recommend the place.............

Lovely food, lots of it, but to dark to read menu, but very nice. Nice big table for a party of about 10, everybody liked their food. Would recommend as a nice place for a small party or a nice couples date. The lights are the only problem as we had to use lights on our phones to read the menu 😅 but we laughed that off and had a great meal.

Lovely food.

The food was good. The order was completely messed up so we didn't really eat at the same time. Staff could do with name badges. The menu seems to ge the same for years.  It's always busy so maybe the don't think a revamp of the menu is necessary. The staff were pleasant. The toilets could do with being checked as the same rubbish was in there all night. So obviously never checked by staff. One toilet only working out of two. The seating is very comfortable. The whole establishment is lively.

Good food

Good food & service. Pretty small menu but portions were reasonable enough. Place was clean, probably wouldnt go out of my way to visit especially but no problem popping in if i was ever passing through.

Monday Lunch

Rooms are basic but do the job.  Things could be a bit better.  Water pressure is bad in the shower, there was no milk in the room with the tea and coffee and the tv station all freeze.  We were only given a key to our room and not the front door.  We returned from an evening out at 1am to find the whole building locked up and us locked out.  Only for a bar staff member was driving by we would have had to sleep in the car.   The resturant and bar downstairs is lovely, great food and nice staff.
