We stayed for two nights as attending a local cycle event. Communication before arrival was quick, efficient and helpful. We had a double room and access to our own kitchen. The room has everything that we needed, comfy bed, warm water and fluffy towels that would put a 5* hotel to shame. The use of our own kitchen was very welcome. The location is perfect, close to everywhere we needed to go over the weekend. Parking is an issue as there was a large cycle event so Friday evening was a nightmare trying to find a free place as most spaces seem to be ticketed and the local free car park was jammed. Thank you for a great stay and we hopefully will return next year.

We were to Clifden from Dublin for two nights and it was really comfortable and accurate with the previous photos and reviews we were checking. It's perfect for friends or couples, intimate and I loved especially the kitchen, having it for ourselves and the terrace. The bed was huge and comfortable and all the necessities you can think about it's sure you'll find it. The better I can say about it too is that the owner's so sweet. We'd still time in Clifden for our last day and we asked her to keep our things for a few hours before taking our bus and she took care of them without any problem so we'd have a good walk without carrying everything. Plus is just in front of the bus stop which goes to Connemara National Park and back to Galway as well as all the cute shops, some galleries and pubs, and if you're there because of the horses, you have the Connemara Pony Society right on the corner; we were even able to see a bit of the August show from the terrace.

This accomodation was perfect. Very spacious, clean and comfortable. Very nice balcony access also and plenty of utensils for cooking, eating and drinking. Suzann the host was most helpful. I will definitely be returning. 

Stayed in this great apartment in a great location. Ground floor apt. Spotlessly clean. Everything we needed from irons to washing machine and dryer. Suzanne was a pleasure to deal with and will definitely be returning. Such a lovely place

I had booked this place twice, first in February 2019 and again in June 2019, owner is very friendly, it's a great location stayed in two different apartments, it is quiet cold in February tho and we couldn't turn heating on ourselves anyhow it's a great place

So glad we ignored the terrible reviews. Great location. Walked to pubs, shops, butcher and SuperValu supermarket. Street parking but we always found a spot, even in the rain. Not perfect. Bathroom and kitchen could use exhaust fans but plently of fresh air. Good value.

Lovely place

Upstairs apartment with balcony

This property has so many positves and so many negatives- one would not know where to start.
Location: very central 100m to the centre of town.
Host: very charming and helpful on the two occasions we needed to ring her- one to operate the washing machine and the other when we locked ourselves out.
Bedroom: very good but a bit on the small size.
Balcony: It is nice to go out on the balcony to see if there are colouds on the mountains. 
There are negatives:
Staircase is difficult to negotiate.
There is a small step from the street into the property and a small step between every room thereafter.
the shower is tiny and claustrophobic. 
The TV reception is erratic and the number of stations very limited.
If you are accustomed to hotels- don't come to this apartment- you won't like it..

Not suitable for wheelchairs.

We stayed in apartment 3, with the main door round the corner. It was unsettling to find the room to the right of ours which we lived for the first 2 nights thinking was a broom cupboard with no markings turned out to be access to the apartment upstairs.

The front door to our apartment was glass panel with no curtain. The window in the kitchen/ living area looked out into a quiet close but again no curtain/ blind.

Every step could be heard from the upstairs apartment. Creaking underfoot and the sound of water rushing down the wall whenever their toilet was flushed. We put up with all this and then on night 3 while we lay in bed at 7AM we were treated to the boiler in the bedroom cupboard going off like a jackhammer while upstairs showered.

The apartment is in poor condition generally with no care given to the appearance. Wallpaper peeling from the wall, broken ironing board. There is an old smell of damp running through the apartment, I thought smoke at one point.

When times are hard and prices for accommodation are the way they are, really It is so poor for owners to expect to get by on the location alone. Unfortunately we paid in advance non-refundable and have had no response to our compensation request.

Not for Couples - Apartment in Sad condition & Lacking Privacy

I booked a double room and a twin, the twin is ok, but the double room is appalling. It is a dank dark space. There are drill holes in the wall next to the bed,  the wardrobe appears ‘homemade’ the bathroom is a tiny shower room that resembles a small shed. There is a TV mounted on the wall, with all the wires hanging out and it’s facing a wall. Why would you put a TV facing a wall? It is truly dump. I think it is a cheek to be charging people money for this. It could have been nice, but looks like it was put together in a great hurry and with minimal expense......they couldn’t even be bothered to hem the curtains never mind fill the drill holes in the wall. We’ve been here a couple of hours and have spent the whole time trying to find an alternative place to stay.

This is awful

Musty smell in hallway.
Did not advise of spiral staircase, very awkward, could not bring luggage upstairs. 
Very uncomfortable single bed, slept on couch second night rather than sleep in it
Electric shower was inconsistent, hot and cold, difficult to have a shower.
Toilet upstairs was slow to refill, could not be flushed for up to 30 mins later.
Not the cleanest.
Some renovations have been made (some tiles replaced others not)
