Dooly's Hotel

The Staff and Management are a credit to the hotel. We had a family party and to say all our needs were met were an understatement. Kevin and Ciara saw to our every need. The food was fantastic and was plentiful. 
This hotel is a long time on the go and I have to say that all the staff over the years are a credit to the owners of the hotel. 
There are rooms that have been updated and I’m sure all others will follow suit.
There was ample space in our room and the staff again were lovely. It’s rare that you have staff that are over 20 years in the same hotel and treat it as as much love and respect.

My mother's 80th birthday party was last night. A 3 course meal for family and extended family for finger food. Kevin and Ciara went above and beyond in helping us organise the most wonderful party. They were so professional and there for everything we needed
 The food was excellent, the service impeccable. We were treated like royalty all evening and well into the night. Thank you so much for making the night so special for my mother.

Both my aunt and I have often frequented the bar and restaurant for lunch and afternoon tea. The staff are just lovely.  We are always treated with kindness and respect. They couldn't do enough for us. I would highly recommend eating and socialising at this venue. They know their clients and we are important to them and it shows in how they treat us.

We stayed at Dooleys for three nights, the staff, from reception, bar, coffee shop, to cleaners were so warm and welcoming, and could not do enough for you, our room was very comfortable and clean, and the food was lovely. It is the oldest hotel in the country which I did not know until the young gentleman on reception shared with us when we arrived. I will definitely stay again.

Attended a wedding here and stayed in the hotel. Had dinner the next day also before leaving. The food is was very nice , nothing extravagant but just how I like it. Good hearty food that tastes delicious. Staff were really friendly both in the bar restaurant and hotel. Rooms were clean and warm, a perfect place for an overnight stay !

both rooms where clean and spacious , one room was newer then the other, our room over looked the main rd. , which was a bit nosily when traffic going past,
hotel it self is ideal located in Birr, close to everything,
we had breakfast & meals , both where very tasty
we would stay again

We had a wedding in Doolys Hotel Birr the food was excellent and well served by friendly staff who could not do enough for us I would recommend this Hotel as a great wedding venue for anyone who wants to enjoy themselves and get value for money

Fab food, very tasty, great service. Would recommend the prawns starter and the chicken and mushroom vól au vent for main course. Location is perfect for visiting Birr Town, Birr Castle Gardens or going to Lough Boora Discovery Park

Arrived to Dooley's on a bank holiday Monday at about 12:30pm. We were seated straight away in a family booth in the bar and given menus. Great selection of food available at decent prices for Birr. I got the Caesar salad and my husband got the wings. He is very picky about wings and he really enjoyed them. The salad was tasty. The kids enjoyed their chicken goujons and chips which were very decent portions. Could not fault the staff who checked in on us twice which was lovely. We got a large jug of miwadi also which was not watered down like in usual places. I'm a regular to Birr but have rarely eaten here and will definitely make this our new place. €30 fed our family of 4 well. Would highly recommend if you're in the area. 

Visited dooleys hotel  birr  saturday 19 February with my good lady the staff from the  front door to the bar ,dining room were top class,food was magnificent  a most enjoyable experience, we shall be  calling again  John maher
