We had 2 workers booked in to stay with Breda for two nights last week.

Breda was extremely accommodating and of course got us sorted with b&b and also had the option of evening meals, which the lads availed of and were very impressed with. Couldnt fault the stay in any way.

We will definitely keep Breda in mind for any future jobs we have in the area.

Comfortable & Very Accomodating Stay

Very welcoming and friendly hosts. The breakfasts were excellent and set me up for the day.  My room was very clean and had a heated blanket. Lovely views at the back of the guest house. This is a great value guest house in a convenient location. It’s my 2nd visit and I’ll definitely stay again.

The proprietor’s professional, friendly, Irish charm & hospitality was outstanding. The lodge is clean, and the grounds are exquisite. Directly on the river Lee that flows toward Cork.  Our bed was comfortable as was the room. Breakfast was outstanding.

Macroom Fountain House Charm

What a delightful place and couple. My wife and I arrived a bit later than planned and I was met at the door by a smiling and friendly Breda that showed us to our room. She had turned on an electric blanket for us earlier so that we could enjoy climbing into a warm bed. The room and bed were comfortable and quiet. For breakfast my wife and I enjoyed a delicious full Irish and a couple of freshly baked scones and croissants, all locally sourced. We were able to visit with Breda and Pat for a few minutes before heading out on our days adventure. We will make the extra effort to visit again!

Spent one night here and it was everything one could ask for in a B&B.  Rooms were a good size with an ensuite bathroom.  Location was nice right by the river and Breakfast was fantastic.  Good local recommendations for dinner added to the enjoyment of our stay

Great family-run B&B

My eleventh visit to the Lee Valley for a fishing holiday, stating at Fountain House. As always Breda and Pat were the perfect hosts.
Both go above and beyond to ensure that their guests can make the most of their stay and this rime I was helped by them to resolve both a fishing bait issue and a routine medical matter.
I can't recommend Fountain House enough.


Wonderful place to stay, with perfect hosts.

We spent three nights at this bed-and-breakfast, and it was absolutely wonderful! We appreciated having a first floor room, parking was easy, hostess was amazing, and food was delicious! Breda consistently went out of her way to spoil us. We highly recommend the Fountain House!

Best Scones in Ireland!!

A very nice location with a lake in the back yard The host, Breda, was very kind and welcoming. Our room was very comfortable and nice. The only problem was the shower system, which took a while to get warm and the water pressure wasn’t the best. Regardless, the room was nice and a cool Bree came off the lake . We only stayed one night and we had a very comfortable and restful sleep. Would recommend staying here because the view and the hospitality are great.
Breda makes an excellent scone/ breakfast.

Hotel on the water

This was a great place to stay and visit SW Ireland. It is on the main road N22 just East of  Macroom. Central to a lot of great places to visit within an hours drive like Cork, Blarney, Kinsale, Cobh, Kilarney, Kenmare and the Ring of Kerry. Plenty of parking and easy to get on and off the road. Wonderful warm and comfortable bed in a nice room with great Wi-Fi. Breakfast is fantastic and Breda makes the best scones in the world. The home backs up to the River Lee and has great views.
