Funky Monkey Bali

Didn't expect much because of the very cheap price. Lots of cheap places to stay in Kuta, and this is one of the cheapest. All rooms had air conditioning--- which was great because of the insane humidity in Bali. Rooms were cleaned daily and beds were comfy. There's free wifi which was reliable around the pool area. I loved how the place is set up. All rooms are facing the pool where lots of people hang out. You'd have to be incredibly anti social if you don't gain new friends here. Great location too, lots of cheap places to eat nearby, about a 10 minute walk to the beach, less than 5 minutes away from all the top clubs and bars along Legian. It's tucked along one of those side streets so the noise from the clubs won't bother you at all. Drunken room mates coming in might wake you up though, but that's pretty much expected if you choose to stay in Kuta. :) Not hard to find either, just check the location on Google Maps, it's accurate. can't complain about the staff. Some might not be too fluent in English, but everyone was always willing to help and always smiling. booking tours and renting motorbikes were a breeze. Oh yeah, I haven't mentioned the free pancakes yet! You do have to make them yourself, but you can make them any time of the day, and you can make as many as you want! Never got to eat em at breakfast, but i managed to eat loads of them each night after drinking lol. I highly recommend this place if you're traveling on a budget and you want to party and meet new people. You definitely get more than you pay for, I honestly can't think of how they are making money. Will definitely stay here again the next time I'm in Kuta.
