We were 3 couples and had booked a villa in Kubu Manggala Villa. We booked directly by contacting the Villa and got an excellent package. The correspondence though emails with Eka a staff member there were quick and satisfactory. 

The villa is located 30 mins from the airport. We got Villa 5 which was a 4 BHK villa and we fell in love with it as soon as we saw it. 3 proper bedroom, a pool just as u enter the villa, kitchen for your service and a huge TV just next to the pool. 

We stayed here for 6 days and didnt regret it even a little bit. In terms of service also they were just amazing. They kept the villa clean and always answered us with courtesy. All the staff members of the villa always had a smile on their face. We loved everybit of the time we stayed here and would definitely visit again sometime.

Wonderful stay, excellent service

A small and cosy villa, probably about 5 doors was what I saw. The private pool was just wonderful and the living and dining area was next to the pool. Enjoyed the stay with our little kids so much. The pools steps were big enough for our 3 year old to play. Staff was helpful and friendly too.

Travelling with 2 toddlers on tow

For what we paid we were very happy with the Villa, staff were very friendly but very limited with speaking and understanding english but overall did their best to cater to us with everything we needed.

The villa is more located in Kerobokan not Seminyak, a lot of taxi drivers did not know how to get there we had to give them directions.

We would stay there again.



Nice Villa for what we paid for!

After booking a single villa (at an early bird discount price), the free transport pick up from the airport was much appreciated - as I don't know whether a taxi driver would have located it at night. 

The villas are located in Kerobokan, so they aren't within walking distances of the main shopping and dining areas in Seminyak. The staff however are very obliging and will help you organise transport when you need it. In saying that there are two local Warungs on Jalan Merta Sari I would recommend trying for lunch - Kantin Tirta and Warung Cerita, both about a 5-7min walk or for dinner try Scratch restaurant which is a 12min walk or order a pizza from Crust, both deliver via Go-Jek. 

The villas each have their own private pool, open living areas, kitchenette (with fridge & coffee maker), spacious a/c bedroom (with room safe & satellite television), bathroom (with bath) all of which is well laid out, quiet & tranquil. The wifi signal is nice & strong where ever you are in the villa.

The staff are very friendly, helpful and prepared to go out of their way to help you. 

Breakfast, which you need to pre-order, is either Indonesian or Western, both of which are satisfactory but not outstanding. 

If you are looking for a villa that is quiet and tranquil with a relatively large private pool (just like in the pictures) that is cool and refreshing - perfect for relaxing after traveling or shopping, then I would certainly recommend Kubu Manggala Villas. 


Peaceful, relaxing and tranquil

Kubu Manggala is really quite lovely I wonder that there hasn’t been more reviews. This is a boutique set-up and consists only 5 villas which means you are in for a quiet and intimate stay. 

What I liked about the villa is the pool which was a good size, and the beautifully landscaped and well-maintained grounds around it - special compliments to the gardeners. The bedroom itself was quite basic and while most of the essentials were in place, it was otherwise rather sparsely furnished and selectively appointed. I do think that with a little budget, the furnishing and décor can be spruced up which would better optimise the potential of the space and also up the ante. That said, my bed was very comfy and I really appreciated the fresh-smelling linens and towels.        

On the flip side, apart from a small reception, there are no other communal facilities such as a restaurant or spa so you are pretty much confined to your villa and will need to head out for meals besides breakfast which was included. For this reason, especially for something as basic as meals, I do think the villa should at least provide a complimentary daily shuttle to Seminyak as most other places do. And although it’s only 10mins to the main scene, there needs to be better directions and signages to the villa as every single one of my taxi was lost and I had to bear the brunt of the drivers’ frustration. There was also a slight ant problem in the villa but this should be an easy fix. 

Will be happy to return to Kubu Manggala nevertheless and hopefully, with more comprehensive amenities and services next time!

Quiet, intimate stay!

The staffs are very helpful. I checked in late as that was the day we go for a day trip to center of the Bali. Even though the receptionist are no longer in hotel, the security staffs help us check-in. Since it's late we've decided to have dinner at the villa. The dinner was cheap and good. They deliver the foods to villa and it really touches our taste. They also help rent a scooter and allow us to extend our check out time till late evening as my flight is at 10:00 PM.
