I booked a bed  in the Canggu Surf Shack for 3 days and for paid it. When I arrived at the hostel the owner canceled my reservation because the room was overbooked. At least they gave me my money back and told me where the next hostel is. But still bad management and not what I expected.

Reservation Canceled on Arrival

A friend and I booked a room for a couple of nights and emailed two weeks in advance to cancel due to family issues at home and having to get an early flight back. In 'Andy's' response he was very unprofessional, accused me of being a 'fraud', said karma is going to get me and signed off with 'I hope you have a horrible holiday'. Glad I got out of that one. Up ur game Andy.

Rude

My partner and I found Andy's Surf Shack on Air BnB and we're so glad we did/ Our only regret is that we just had one night here - Canggu is the perfect place to relax and escape the tourist traps.

Andy's rooms have everything you need - fan, AC, fridge, TV, good bathroom. The place is kept in excellent condition, as it the swimming pool. Wifi was a bit didgy but it's a good reason to completely log off.
Scooters are available to hire for a really good rate - it's safe to ride around Canggu as there isn't much traffic.
Would happily recommend this place and stay here again!

Everything you need

Me and my friend had a really good time at Andy's. The owner was really friendly in my opinion! 
The only con about this place is that it is really far away from everything, a motorcycle is a must. The locals around the place is really nice as well..

Far away but really nice

Stayed here for one night. I had thought I had booked for 3 people via bookings.com but after putting into the filter a room for 3 people, however we were booked into a treble room but only for 2 people. When we checked in with 3 people nothing was said so we were unaware of the problem.

The facilities at the hotel are excellent if a little out of the way. The local guys that run the hotel where very pleasant and attentive but the expat owner was the opposite. I was left with the impression that many others had made the same mistake of booking a treble room but only for 2 people. A glitch with bookings.com that the owner needs to sort out rather than blaming / insulting his guests for making a easy error when demanding the money for the extra person. 

I would have been happy to pay for the extra person and completely understand the owner has a  business to run, however after the way we were spoken to I was left with a bitter experience and would seriously recommend the owner learning some better interpersonal skills. I did not appreciate the comment, 'I have your credit card details, I'll charge what I like.' 

Therefore unfortunately would not recommend this place to anyone.
