We had the pleasure to stay in Ganga Love for about a week. We loved our stay as our room was very clean, the shower had good pressure and hot water all day round. Additionally, we had a nice balcony with a great view of the Gange river! We loved watching the stunning sunrise from this balcony every morning! 

One of the best parts, is the food! The food at this hotel is wonderful! We've had different dishes every night and tasted India's best banana lassy. 

Santos's family is great, they're really helpful and will try to make your stay as good as possible. He's friendly and likes to joke around! Would definitely come back!

Good Ganga, great love!

We stayed in Ganga Love for 3nights and only wished it was for longer!
The room,food and hospitality were great.
We stayed in one of the river facing rooms tastefully decorated in cool shades of blue,with a clean modern en-suite with constant hot water (a god sent in India !)
Santosh with the help of his hard working team provided excellent service and produced specular home cooked meals which we enjoyed, Whilst soaking up the magical atmosphere and views of the river Ganges from the well appointed roof terrace.
We would highly recommend Ganga Love as a peaceful retreat a short stroll along the ghats to the hussle and buddle of the old city.

Beautiful stay

This is a nice hostel bear the river, just walking distance of different Ghats. The owner of the place was very friendly. Also their pancakes were tasty. From the top froor it was possible to see the Ganges river.

Frendly atmosphere

We really enjoyed the first few days of the stay at Ganga Love. We loved sitting on the rooftop overlooking the Ganges and drinking a beer from a nearby shop which the owner pointed us to. The rooms were really clean, with comfy beds, AC & hot water. The breakfast was good, although it took a long time.

We had arranged a laundry service through the owner, which was good value. However, when we returned to the hotel on our last night's stay, the owner was rude and aggressive saying that we held up the laundry man because we were late (we had explicitly agreed that the owner would pay him & we would repay he owner). Additionally, on the morning of our departure we awoke to find our backpacks saturated from an overflow of leaking from the aircon on the balcony. It would have been useful to be told the bucket given needed very regular emptying. The owner dealt with the issue really badly & we left without an apology feeling very upset. We would have felt much more positive about our stay if the owner had was more hospitable, however this was not the case.

Almost very enjoyable

BEWARE - Money was STOLEN from our room. Read other reviews (TripAdvisor/Booking) this is NOT the first time. Someone with access to our room stole money from our bags while we were eating lunch on the rooftop. When we confronted the owner about the disappearing cash, he denied any knowledge of wrongdoing but he offered to return the money. There were some suspicious elements of his story - for example, he claimed nobody else had keys to the room even though the model of padlock on our door is always sold with 3 keys, and he said that the security camera facing our door was not functioning. 
When we checked out, the owner YELLED at us very aggressively and accused us of taking his money. We have a video of this event. His volatile temperament appears to be a pattern, too, judging by other reviews.
If this is not sufficient to dissuade you from staying here, it is also extremely loud: the stairwell is basically one big echo chamber.  Constant banging and loud yelling by staff and other patrons made it impossible to sleep for almost the entire night.  Also, the Wi-Fi never worked despite the owner repeatedly saying it was going to be fixed the next morning. Also, nothing could be ordered from the menu - he cooked basic stuff like plain rice and dal for everybody and that was it. Overall, it was a terrible experience. AVOID this hotel.
