It's very close, conveniently located to the jetty to visit the Rock Memorial and Statue. The room facilities are decent. The bathrooms are clean and the a/c was in perfect working condition which was such a necessity considering the climate in October. 
The food was also good. Loved the dal and egg curry that they had served. The service was prompt and staff also helped us with the local sight seeing details.

The hotel has a nice lobby/entrance. Overall we had a pleasant and safe stay.

Good views, spacious rooms and good service

I was welcomed with a smile at reception when I reached hotel. The room given to me was very comfortable . Bathroom was very good .. I was given late check out by Hotel Team . Tiny but very good hotel . Location very good close to Ganges / Ghats .Mr Kaushik in Front Office and proprietor Mr Jai Singh are very helpfull and cordial ..

Lovely Stay 

The lodge is near the main temple.So we can easily walk up to the temple at any time of the day or night .The room is very comfortable, though a bit small. The manager Mr.Kousic Sen Gupta, is very polite and helpful .He gives information about everything , like the different temples, the boat service, the auto, taxi, riksha services and shopping. This helps the tourists to get rid of the fear of being cheated in an unknown place. The service boys are also very helpful.Totally, the stay in Surya Residency will be a pleasure stay to anybody , as it was for us ,last week.(23/24.06.2016).

Excellent service

I met with different managers in different tours but I found Mr.Kousik Sen Gupta, manager of Surya Residency, is unique.The lodge is near the main temple.Rooms are good, though a bit small.  Like the different temples, the boat service, the auto, taxi, riksha services and shopping. This helps the tourists to get rid of the fear of being cheated in an unknown place. The service boys are also very helpful.

I enjoyed ghats the most. Different people different colors a mixture of life made my journey awesome.
Please go and enjoy varanasi. There are unique ways to enjoy go and find it. Hope it will help you a lot.

A good place to stay at varanasi

Hotel is a good one location wise,near to main temple and ghats.For non AC room u have to pay extra for hot water from geyser.Bedsheet was nit changed for single time in my five days stay.Be careful about nighttimes manager OP he may told u that he will help u honestly without his own interest as u are a boarder of his hotel  regarding boating travel etc but I think he and his one partner had their own commission in all deal.donot relay on him.But day time manager Mr. Sen is a polite one he has alloed us to stay maximum two hours after schedule checkout time for our delayed train free of cost. Proprietor Mr Jai Singh are very helpfull and cordial to solve ur problem.i had a huge expectation by reading the past review but giving poor rating because of that guy as he used our faith but spoil our part of tour.
