I was there from 12th to the 16th of June 2016 and had a great experience. The hotel staff (Riyaz and Kamal) were very helpful. They even gave me a temporary sim as my prepaid was not working there. The location is excellent and my room a good view of the Dal Lake.

Great experience

We stayed two days in this hotel.This hotel is situated near the dal lake(gate no 7). Location,Service is just awesome.We booked this hotel via goibibo with huge discount.One thing I want to mentioned that the guy who makes our trip remarkable is javed bhai(09858364636) driver such a polite,honest and helpful person.Hope we will meet again.

Mesmerizing dal lake view

Due to an unforseen emergency we had to stay for a night in Srinagar and for this we chose Hotel Zamrud .These are my views of the property 

PROS
1.centrally located on Dal Lake with mode if conveyance easily available including Shikara rides 
2. Comfortable rooms 
3. Helpful staff at reception and housekeeping 
4. Warm airy room facing the lake.

CONS
1. NO lift
2. Narrow parking space 
3. Poor WIFI

Verdict : okay for a unscheduled stay considering the money charged else one can look for better options in case parking and Wifi is a deciding factor 


Unscheduled  stay @srinagar

At Boulevard road,this hotel stands for its Amazing view of the Dal lake and the Shikaras. The rooms are Luxurious with all amenities and Staff is good too. Restaurants and eateries are nearby and the market is just a walkable distance.
You can have good food with shopping and the best thing to get here is Woolen clothes in many shops lined to eachother.

Best hotel for Dal lake view.

Zamrud is ideal hotel as it is opposite ot Dal Lake, Ghat no 7.
V were 7 couples and stay here for 3 nights and had comfortable stay.
The biggest advantge of selecting this hotel is location, every thing was at walking distance.
The lake facing room are Tiny. Though i hav opted lake facing room.  Others couples select back room which r spacious and huge.
Hot water available 24 hours.
Staff was very helpful.
Over all great experiance in Zamrud, srinagar.


Worth because of Location and budget friendly

Hotel location is excellent just in front of dal lake Ghat 8. Hotel rooms are very small. Front facing rooms are small compare to non lake facing. Service is poor as you have to call 2-3 times for 1 thing. Rooms were clean. Overall okay. I booked through go ibibo so got at decent rate.

Nice Location, OK service, overall ok

Except the people, there is nothing nice about this old run-down motel like hotel.. Badly in need of renovation.. It's ok for budget conscious tourists who don't mind compromising on cleanliness, aesthetical value, amenities etc.. I am sure there are far better options at same price point.. AVOID
