Positive - Near from the park approx 3 to 4 km
Negati ves - Poor breakfast options, Hotel staff does not even know timings for the park to open, told us wrong timings, bedsheets in the room were not clean, no hot water in washrooms, service for any particular ask very slow and you have to approach reception for every thing, food options less and taste also not good at all

Very poorly managed property, not at all recomended

The hotel is one of our family members perefferd destination. Very quiet place, full of greenery, very delicious food, spacious room, 

Badminton court is one of the best area to explore. My son enjoyed playing there.

Very refreshing

We had a birthday party for 200 guests on 30th Dec’19. Food arrangements were very pathetic. They lived up to their bad reputation and didn’t serve anything well. I had to face lot of disappointment from our guests. Would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

Worst property

This is one of the few hotels here who may call itself 'palace' for a reason. We were here on a quiet evening but still the food was good (and the rum too) and the staff very very hospitable and thinking along. We got a pre-breakfast because of early bird watching and a proper breakfast after. The room was large comfortable and clean. Make good appointments about the hot water though... The swimming pool and pool beds could use an update, but we didn't have time to use it anyway.

Fantastically and quiet

While visiting the bird sanctuary we stayed here for two nights and had a most comfortable stay in beautiful surroundings. The friendly staff could not do enough for us and were delightful. Our room was comfortable and spacious. The food was good, we particularly enjoyed our breakfast in the pretty courtyard. We hope to get the opportunity to visit the area again and will not hesitate to book this hotel for another wonderful stay.

Comfortable Stay In Delightful Hotel

First positive impressions of this hotel:
- Nice lobby
- Lovely courtyard
- Courteous staff
First negative impressions of the hotel:
- The staff aren't trained to the degree expected of a three star hotel, they almost seem like they've been dragged in from a nearby village and are likely severely underpaid
- Oddly empty considering it's close proximity to the bird sanctuary
- NO HOT WATER!!!

Now here is why I gave this hotel 1 star. I came with a group of international friends (German + French) plus a few of us who are local but well travelled. At first glance the hotel appears nice and we'll maintained. However aside from that, everything is a huge disappointment. First of all, there is NO HOT WATER in the pipes. There are limited hours for the hot water, which is common in India. However, it states that if we call down, we can request hot water during off hours. We did that and got an excuse that there's an issue. Then we tried the hot water during the started hours and STILL no hot water. They offered me and my group (14 travellers) buckets of hot water that they could bring up. Honestly this was completely unacceptable. We all took cold showers. The owner, Diwan Singh did not at all acknowledge that we had no hot water. He wasn't rude, but completely ignored the issues. The room was however spacious, but definitely not clean. The water had a weird stink to it which is also not acceptable of a 3 star hotel. The food was very average, the naan was not naan at all which is very disappointing. The staff were very nice but they seemed like they really had never worked at a hotel before. When me and my friends were having drinks in the courtyard, they were taking pictures which was VERY CREEPY. Honestly, this place looks nice and has the heritage look, but it's all superficial. Nothing works and I will never return here. I'll advise any international travellers to avoid this place as it will likely overcharge you. The owner, Diwan Singh, is either completely oblivious to the problems in his hotel, or is choosing to be cheap and is not maintaining them intentionally. Either way, travellers beware.

Objective review, travellers BEWARE!

Stayed here only for a night. Good place to stay, just a couple of minutes to the bird park by car. Beautiful property, the room and the property itself were quite spacious. Ample car parking space in front.

Didn't use the pool. Restaurant service was a bit slow as there was a big group staying at that time. Wifi was a bit iffy in the room (which was at a corner .. probably the farthest from the entrance)

Good Stay

Surya Vilas Palace.. A great place to relax. Simply awesome.

We visited Surya Vilas Palace on 19th April 2019 and stayed there for 2 nights with my family members, we have booked 10 Rooms.
All the room were huge with balcony, clean and comfortable with all the facilities you want. e.g. Room service, AC, Fridge, Tea maker. Pool, gym etc.
And the most important, The entire Hotel staff were extremely hospitable and humble, They welcome us with welcome drinks. Special Thanks to Mr. Abhishek and Mr Pushpender Singh and The Chef.

A very good and central location to get around Bharatpur Bird sanctuary, but the thing that makes this such a good place to stay are the staff. All of the people are incredibly helpful and generous with their time and advice.

The food is really delicious and mouthwatering. They served us different variety of food every time [Breakfast/Lunch/Evening Snacks/Dinner] both [Veg and NonVeg]    
The central courtyard of resort is a very beautiful place to sit and enjoy with family members. 

Amazing atmosphere. The facilities and the design of the hotel is fantastic . You feel the heritage level of Rajasthan here. The lobby, the rooms and the restaurant are furnished in every single detail for an overall gorgeous experience. We had awesome time in swimming pool also our children and everyone enjoyed a lot in Pool.

Great place to relax.
Anybody who would want to visit Bharatpur, this is highly recommended place to stay.
