We loved this place! We booked the family apartment which in fact gives you the whole of the ground floor. Really well decorated and furnished and everything you could need with kitchen and huge bathroom. Outside is a massive private hot tub with views over the bay. Bath robes etc etc... can’t recommend enough.

Our rooms was amazing. Classic Scandinavian luxury without going overboard. Huge shower facilities. Nice jacuzzi location where you can see northern lights in the night.  The staff was very courteous and welcomed us as soon as we arrived in our car.

We spent 3 nights here in December - WOW!  We were met upon arrival by our host Michael who graciously welcomed us and gave us a tour of our accommodations.  The apartment is lovely and very comfortable with 3 bedrooms, a spacious bath, and a kitchen stocked with basic breakfast needs (coffee!). Perfect.  

Our favorite part, however, was outside - even in freezing weather!  The hot tub is wonderful to enjoy at the end of a full day, watching a beautiful lingering sunset over Borgarnes.  The shoreline caught our attention, though, with beautiful scenery for roaming by day (covered with snow and ice when we were there), and Northern Lights viewing by night!  

We loved every minute of our stay here.  I do hope we get a chance to return! Thank you!

We were a group of 4 and arrived at night. Very good location and very spacious house. It was clean and it had a fully equipped kitchen. Bed and pillows were comfortable. We managed to enjoy the hot tub outside overlooking the awesome view in the morning. Nice and helpful host! We enjoyed our one night stay.

Spacious apartment, fully equipped (all kitchen necessities and basic breakfast products, cosmetics in the bathroom), beautiful view that can be enjoyed from the jacuzzi tub (towels and bathrobes are also provided). Coffee with such a view is a memory to be kept for years!

We spent here 2 nights, house had 3 rooms and a lounge and kitchen. All very clean and spoiling. Bathroom is huge with bathrobes to use for the shower and for the hot jacuzi outside. The owners are really nice and kind people. We really enjoyed our stay there. If we are ever in Iceland again we will be back there. Sitting inside the hot water in the jacuzi outside with a beer, watching  the bay is just perfect. Thank you

This is a nice location and nicely appointed guesthouse for the last night on the ring road before heading back to Reyk or the first night out on the beginning of your trip.  There is not a lot to do in this area but some people stay two nights.  Common area is great for family, we had three bedrooms and slept well.  Great shower and loved the soap and shampoo (had the same in another guesthouse and was happy to see it again)  Great view.  Walked in to town to have dinner at the Settlement Area restaurant.  Great hosts

We ordered two night sat the Kria Guesthouse for our family of five. We had a terrible day as our luggage did not arrive, so we had to spend several hours shopping for some cloths. No problem. The owner waited for us.

The apartment is large, with three bedrooms and a living room. It is very nicely decorated and very well equipped. We found it clean and well maintained. There is a parking place just in front of the door The beautiful bay is seen from all the windows. WiFi connection is good.

I must commend Margaret, the owner. She was very helpful after she heard about lost luggage, and even bothered herself to tell us that the northern lights could be seen ans invited us to a good place to watch it.

This would have been a 5 star experience except that there was some false advertising. It says breakfast is included but that is not the case. We specifically booked guesthouses with breakfast and honestly would have chosen a different guesthouse if we'd known there was no breakfast provided. Otherwise, the place was clean, the bathroom was huge (and the robes were awesome) and the kitchen was perfectly adequate to cook dinner in. There is a great view of the bay and it is close to some walking trails.

We spent two nights here and we were very pleased with the accommodations.  THere are two rooms separated by a large and very functional kitchenette.  The bathroom is huge, with a very large shower area.  The location is excellent but it was a bit hard to find due to new building construction that apparently had to remove the street sign.

Our only complaint was that the room was dark, not enough lights for easy reading after dark.  Don't let this prevent you from staying, just be aware.

THe questions below ask if this is a beachfront hotel.  No, but it is a waterfront hotel, but there is not a sandy beach.
