My wife and I are driving the 'Ring Road' in a campervan and came here to Hverinn, after being turned away from Varmaland. We showed up on one of the busiest camping weekends of the year, unbeknownst to us 'tourists'. Berger was exceptionally accommodating and friendly, and found a spot for us. Our only other option was to drive all the way back to Reykjavik, so we were grateful for the hospitality. He and his family recently bought this property, which includes the campground, a restaurant (great food!), some apartments and a geothermal greenhouse where they grow vegetables for the restaurant and for sale. The campground was clean, with nice bathrooms and showers, washer & dryer, electricity, and very family friendly including a trampoline for the kids and a pool nearby. We have stayed in about 10 different campgrounds on our trip and this is one of our favorites!
