The hotel is set in a beautiful olive grove and has a sweet little shingle beach , now with added 'sails' for welcome shade, down some steep steps. We stayed there last year and enjoyed the Kalamitsi experience, hence our return. 

We had requested a studio nearest to the breakfast area because my husband has mobility issues and finds walking difficult, alas that was not to be, instead we ended up in the studio furthest from the main building. The room was smaller and only had a terrace at the back but it certainly did have the most gorgeous seaview.

The towels were great, clean, thick and huge and beach towels are provided. The bathroom was rather compact and impractical, the towel rail set so high that short people like me can barely reach it and there was not a lot of shelving (some of it can only be reached when the door is closed). A huge wardrobe, a desk and a small table and two chairs were useful.

There was a large bottle of water in the fridge and the room was clean and recently repainted. The drying rack on the terrace is also a thoughtful addition. Single beds pushed together are not our favourite sleeping arrangement (we're strictly double bed people) but they were comfortable.

There was a hob, a good-sized fridge with freezer compartment and a coffee maker (bring your own supplies if you intend to make coffee) and car parking right outside.

Our previous studio had mosquito nets on all windows but not this one. Fortunately we were not bothered (and a mosquito plug is helpfully provided in the room) but this may be an issue at some times of year if you like sleeping with the windows open.

Wifi was adequate. Breakfast included some lovely home-made jams, cakes and pies but could have done with some 'grown up' cereals such as bircher muesli. Filter coffee only.

It's a dog-friendly hotel, which is a huge plus point in our book and definitely worth staying in for its location, good breakfast and beautiful views.

A no nonsense hotel with all the basics in a lovely olive grove

Exceptional place and people, clean excellent view, cozy beach, very good breakfast and food, beautiful 🐈.  In the middle of olive 🌳,  direct access to sea hidden beach with sunbeds and sun shades, beautiful.  Rooms spacious with stone and wood , romantic balconies. 

Romantic

This hotel is about three things:
Location, location, location.
Most rooms have extremely nice views.
They are kind of rustic with modernized bathrooms. The water pressure in our room was very poor.
Biggest flaw is the non existent sound proofing. If your neighbours aren't early sleepers or the super silent kind, they will keep you awake or wake you up during sleep. The hotel cannot change that, the building structure cannot be changed.
However, if you are a light sleeper, better book somewhere else.

Not for light sleepers 

This is a comfy, quiet historical hotel in one of the most gorgeous areas of Greece. Kardamyli is off the beaten track for regular tourists, but the town is pretty and the environs idyllic. The staff at the hotel was very kind and informative, versed in the literary cachet of the area (both Patrick Leigh Fermor and Bruce Chatwin lived and wrote their best books in Kardamyli). The hotel has parking available, lovely, quiet rooms with kitchenettes and terraces overlooking the sea, beautiful gardens and even a private pebble beach. The breakfast was amazing! I would stay for a full week next time.

Unforgettable hotel experience in Kardamyli

Wonderful hotel, spacious rooms, idyllic location just outside town, lovely grounds and a private beach, some of the best Greek breakfasts of our trip, great place to relax and slow down.  Also very good dinners are available.

Wonderful hotel with private beach

The hotel is in a beautiful setting, but note that the private beach is rocky, not sandy. The facilities were clean and comfortable but I would not call them ‘luxurious’. The meals were excellent and eaten in the lovely garden, with a nice cat, but there was no choice for dinner, and the staff were often still making breakfast (eg chopping the excellent fruit salad) when we came down to eat it. My real complaint was that the guys who staffed reception were off hand to the point of rudeness, barely rousing themselves to say good morning or even goodbye when we left. This contrasted strongly with our experience elsewhere on our trip to Greece. 

Nice hotel but unfriendly staff

A dog-friendly hotel, which is the reason why we chose it, but it's more than that. We had a bungalow with two terraces (chase the sun or the shade, it's up to you), a kitchenette and a good shower room (the only slight issue is that the poured concrete - which we love - can be a bit slippery) with good olive oil-based toiletries and good towels. The car park space right outside was a plus too. 
The grounds are brilliant for a dog walk (she loved it) and the private beach is absolutely delightful (my first dip of the season). 

Good breakfast (great cakes, fruit salad and egg dishes) and an excellent dinner of salad, caper tzatziki and delicious moussaka on our first evening, served by very friendly staff. Definitely a place we would come back to.

A haven in the olive groves

One of our favorite during our trip in Greece.
Just outside of Kardamily although there are no sidewalks so driving is preferable.
The family who owns the premise is adorable and readily available for everything.
We have loved the private beach which you can access directly from the hotel.
The restaurant is very good with local homemade courses. And the ladies who manage it are lovely.
Finally breakfast with only homemade plates is just perfect.

Our coup de cœur in the Pelopponese

Beautiful villa style hotel in the middle of olive trees with private beach access.  Very quick access to the center of Kardamili where you will find various restaurants and boutiques.  Rooms are clean and we had a balcony with a view of the olive trees and the sea.  The breakfast was very generous with several homemade items and it was the best we had in Greece.  The staff was also very kind and helped us even after we left!

Beautiful Villa

Sadly this was a disappointment from the off with a very unwelcome arrival. Room was fine but so very basic and not the standard and quality advertised. Pretty enough gardens and breakfast are but was like a canteen and not enough places to sit which forced us inside what was a room like a school dinner hall...not nice. 
We paid and said out goodbyes but even then we were ignored without comment. 
Not sure they deserve business so can not recommend this hotel.
