Very clean and staff were lovely.  Nice room but it was immensely hot and we couldn't sit on the balcony as we were in the direct sun. We will definitely be back but will ask for a room on the shady side! The little kitchen area could do with a few more things as well...

A lovely (if hot) stay

Superb. Visited in july2020, so both Thasos and the villa was quieter than usual. Well equiped rooms, spotlessly clean. Fantastic value for money. Good pool if u are into that. Nice gardens. Great location to use as a base for day excursions with a car. The service was excellent and super friendly. The only downside would be some occasional traffic noise, if u stay in the rooms facing the street, no major concern even if u hate noise, like me.

Stayed for a week at Villa Elia and had a lovely time.  We stayed in Room 105 and it was clean and modern and the beds were comfortable - they were a little on the firm side but that suited us as we don't like soft mattresses.  Shower was powerful with plenty of hot water.  We stayed at the back of the hotel, away from the main road, so was quieter.  Was very hot whilst we were there so air-con was greatly appreciated - €5 per night.  There is also a safe in the room which required a key, I understand there was a charge for this but we didn't use it so not sure how much.  Pool area was good and never too busy - no parasols for sun-beds but shade provided by a hedge if you needed it.  There is a small basic kitchenette with a sink, fridge, 2 cooking rings and a kettle and a few pots and pans.  We bought cereal, milk, coffee and orange juice for breakfast, but didn't eat in other than that.
Hotel is in very good location - very close to the ferry port and a few beaches within a 10 minute walk, we liked La Playa and had some nice lunchtime snacks at the La Playa Beach Bar.  Sun-beds are free but they expect you to purchase a drink, which you probably would anyway.  There were a couple of good supermarkets just up the road from the hotel, and a 10 minute walk gets you into the town with a good choice of shops and restaurants.  Our favourites were Ambrosia and Tavernaki.
Would definitely recommend Villa Elia and would stay again.

Villa Elia

The location was ideal as it was only 10 minute walk into thassos town and to the beach. There are also 2 supermarkets very close by. That was the only good thing about staying at the Villa Elia. I didn’t expect anything too fancy with it being a 2 star rating but I did at least expect it to be clean. The walls of our room were full of cobwebs, the bed frames were thick with dust and the bathroom although looked to be fairly recently refurbished had questionable stains on the wall tiles near the toilet and mould around the sealant of the sink. There was also no shower curtain which wasn’t a big deal, more annoying, as everywhere got sprayed with water following a shower and then anyone using the bathroom after you had to dry the toilet seat to use it. There is a safe and air conditioning provided but to use them you have to pay extra- €25 for the safe and €35 per week for the air conditioning which I wouldn’t bother paying for as it was not worth the money as did not cool the room well. We had a room which over looked the garden which was nice but behind our room sounded like there was a farm or something as early hours of the morning (sometimes 3 am) a rooster would start crowing loudly which would go on for 30 mins at a time. Also the walls are very thin so you could here people in the apartments next door and above using the toilet! Thassos is a beautiful island and I would come back but would not stay in the villa Elia

Wouldn't stay here again

Very well apointed location, handy for the town, supernarkets and ferrys.
On arrival we asked for a key for the safe in our room as the keypad access had been disabled
 It became apparent why a key was required because a "deposit" was required for the key.
The price for the key was €15.00, we thought this was a little expensive but we paid as we thought he €15.00 would be refunded on return of the key. NOT THE CASE!! 
apparently this is the weekly charge, you dont get a refund. Ok, understand they need to charge to ensure the return of the key but €15.00 is a bit excessive.

Good lication, nice clean room and modern bathroom and decor

Had a fantastic time. Apartments are about a 5 minute walk from the ferry. We were met by the owner and shown to our room overlooking the garden. It was lovely. Quite modern inside. Lovely bathroom. No shower curtain but we managed without. There was a small bath mat for the floor so you didn't slip. There was plenty of hot water. Towels were changed regularly. There was a hotplate to plug in if you needed to cook, but the food is so cheap we ate our main meals out. There was plenty of crockery, kettle and a full size fridge. The pool was really nice and very quiet. We ate in the bar a couple of lunchtimes. Basic food but very nice and cheap. We had a lovely veranda with a table and chairs and a rack to hang the towels and washing to dry. There is a safe in the wardrobe which you can use for a small charge. There was a massive supermarket just around the corner and they had everything you would need if you weren't eating out and it was very cheap. There were also 2 bakerys close by which were really good. There were a number of bars and restaurants near the ferry area which were excellent. The town centre was about a 15 minute walk away and had a great choice of shops, bars and restaurants. Great for people watching. We didn't venture to the beach, but again it was just a short walk. We would recommend this accommodation and would definitely stay there again. 


Holiday

Well maintained apartments right up to date. Excellent room service.
A very friendly family. Breakfast is available in the bar should you wish. The only negative is that there is no shower curtain in rather a small shower room and it did get a little messy.
