I had a great stay while at Ulisse Apartments.  I was greeted by the host and promptly taken to my room.  I was offered coffee, tea or juice and had small talk with them.  The best part was the sweet smell of flowers in the area.  I stayed in a room on the upper level and had a walk out balcony overlooking the rest of the property.  I had no real complaints as I have stayed in far worse conditions.  Only thing was the shower was very small and the curtain often touches you while showers, so I would leave the curtain up.  However, the water that drains onto the bathroom floor either with the curtain up or down doesn't drain well.  The overall location was great as far as being in the middle of the long winding road of Paleokastritsa, but it was quite an intense hike up a very steep hill.  Again, there was the sweet smell of flowers in the air, which made the hike quite rewarding at the end.  I would gladly stay at this place again if I were in the area.  Cash payment is preferred also, as they sometimes have issues with their credit card machine.

Great stay!

Very calm place with amazing view from the terrace. Close to the center and beach. Nice garden - we were taking the lemons for the water just right from the terrace. The owners are very hospitable and warm welcoming. Good and silent conditioner- comfortable for sleeping. 

Amazing view

The apartment was in a perfect location to access the restaurants in the area and to walk to the beaches. The view from the balcony was also absolutely beautiful! The apartment had lots of lovely plants around it and also provided us with deck chairs and a swing chair outside in the driveway. It was a short walk away from everything. I would certainly recommend it, and thank the owners very much for our stay.

PS: There are 2 gorgeous cats (kittens!!) who see the apartments as their home. When we first arrived they were very hungry and a bit scared of humans. We played with them a bit and fed them from leftovers from our meals, and once they were looked after a little, they became very friendly and loving. Please be kind, gentle and patient to them, and please look after them, all they need is a few scraps of meat left over from your meals and a bit of love. In return, they will give you lots of love in return. Pictures are attached.

I will try to be objective and detailed on 100% without any hints of emotion both positive or negative. 
We have been in two different apartments for our 11-night stay. We changed the first room after the 4-th night due to constant noise from the reception which is next to it. So I will list the pros and cons of both rooms and will mark the 1st room the one which is next to the reception and 2nd room the one which is on the upper side of the property. 

Pros:

Overall:
- The hosts came to pick us with their Pickup from the bus stop in Paleo.
- The hosts are nice and welcoming with a smile. They offered coffee and soda drinks when we arrived.
- They give you a 5-minute instruction on what you can find around as beaches and shops. It is general but if you need more information they are always ready to help and wouldn't refuse to spend time talking about it.
- When we complained about the noise from the 1st room, they immediately offered us to change the room.
- There was alaways hot water in both rooms at any time of the day.
- The general view from the property is marvelous. 
- The garden in the property is well-maintained and it is cleaned regularly.

1st room
- It was clean when we arrived.
- The hosts let us in earlier than the check-in time.
- The room is in a separate small building and you don't have any neigbors around you, except the reception and the other small building where the hosts live.
- The room has an air conditioner.
- The kitchen is big and is as big as the bedroom.
- The room was cleaned once for our 4-th night stay in it i.e. mopped, bathroom disinfection and garbage thrown.

2nd room
- The room was clean when we changed rooms.
- We were given new towels and sheets.
- It was big, sunny and spacious where you can relax well. 
- The air conditioner was a new one and worked really well.
- There were extra pillows.
- The garbage was thrown regularly.

Cons: 

1st room
- The bedroom is small and dark with one window which you have to keep most of the time closed because there are no insect nets. The kitchen is dark as well. When you return from sunbathing and want to enjoy a light and sunny time in the room, you get the opposite because of the lack of sunshine in it.
- The room was noisy as it is close to the reception and you can hear the conversations of anyone passing through there at any time of the day (including after 10-11 PM). You can also hear the cars which are coming and going from the parking which is near. 
- The air conditioner was working well but only in one program which cannot be changed as the remote control was broken. It was blowing right into us while we were lying on the bed when switched on.
- There is no shower hanger. 
- The shower curtains come into contact with you when you are having a shower or using the toilet which is quite unpleasant.
- The bathroom is small and really basic.
- The beds are really hard, uncomfortable and squeaking at every turn.
- The sea view from the room was partial.

2nd room
- The bathroom floor didn't have the correct denivelation so when you are taking a shower all the water which goes out on the floor cannot drain out but stays and you walk in water when you go to the bathroom. 
- The same issue with shower curtain as in room 1 as well as the missing shower hanger.
- The bathroom was the same as in room 1. 
- When the neighbors are quiet and understandable, there is no noise which you can hear but when they are not or come back late in 3 AM you can hear: making them love really loudly, passing some wind (this is not a joke), talking loudly (if you talk normal and qietly it is not a problem), snoring, blurping, etc.
- The smoke from cigarettes from the neighbors comes into the room even when the doors are closed. 
- There are no insect nets in comparison to our neighbors which have and it was a good advantage in the hot nights. 
- The beds are not only hard but you can feel every bed-spring and you had to take special postures to feel so so okay and get to sleep. We got really bad pains in our bodies due to this some days.
- The room wasn't cleaned for 5 days and it was done just the day before we left. 
- The linen and towels haven't been changed at all for 6 days - though it was raining 2-3 days and the towels couldn't dry due to humidity.
- We left our tablet to charge while we were out as its battery was almost on 0% but when we returned it was unplugged from the electricity by the person who cleaned the room. It wasn't fully charged. This could be considered a breach in privacy and security of personal data.
- The sea view depends on the number of the room and in our room it was obstructed by a lemon tree but that's okay. We chose it deliberately due to its position so this was not an issue for us.

Not what we expected

Beautiful place, very clean, with a nice terrace to sit outside (pretty flowers and olive trees) and a great view on the bay. If you come by car there is a parking space for you.The apartment has two stove plates to cook sth little- a three course meal might rather be difficult to arrange. It takes approx. 200 meters to the main road by foot, with lots of retaurants, some bars and mini markets. Next bigger super market approx. 500 meters from Ulisse. A bakery is also close (600 m). There is a hotel near by (200 m) where you can use the pool. But we preferred one of the 5 beaches/bays in the area (1-2 km distance).
The owners are very friendly and caring people. We would repeat our stay at their place.

Palaiokastritsa is THE BEAUTIFUL area to stay at Corfu and Ulisse Apartments is the perfect accomodation for your stay.
