The day I arrived in Matala I had not booked any accomodation as it was end of season. Sat down at a coffee shop and got chatting to a couple of guys - one was from Israel and had just booked his second night having originally only intended staying for one night. He suggested I would not find anywhere better and so I too booked in. the owner of the apartments happened to be the second guy that I had been chatting with. When he saw my luggage he immediately jumped on his motorbike and transported it all to my room for me. I had an isssue with funds arriving from Uk and he was totally understanding allowing me as much time as needed to settle my bill. The room itself was a delight - comfy bed, spotlessly clean, large balcony with both sea and mountain views. I spent a couple of evenings in his company and had a wonderful time. Cosmas is one of the nicest, kind and intelligent people I have ever met. I would 100% recommend these apartments to anybody, you will have a wonderful host and great accomodation.
