Me and my husband spent a week at Villa Erontas. We loved the Villa, location and the views. The Macheri Village was beautiful, little bit remote, but still near bigger village like Kalyves, so we had all we needed. Property owner Katerina was so lovely person, she helped us many ways and she brought us oranges and home made muffins.  We wanted to relax in a peaceful place and that certainly happend. And the jacuzzi was just perfect also. We truely want to go back.

Perfect villa!

We had a wonderful stay here. Highly recommended if you are looking for somewhere a little off the beaten track but still easily reachable and well located for the main attractions of western Crete. The village is beautiful and has its own taverna - there are many others a short drive away.

The host is super welcoming and helpful, the house is clean and well-equipped and the view from the hot tub is stunning! I hope to return.

Relaxing family holiday in Crete

Very beautiful and comfortable house, with all you need for a great and relaxed holiday.
Close to small villages for eat and small market and very good point to start daily escursions. The Host Katerina is so nice, kind and helpful; she gave us lot of tips and i’m still thank you her for simpathy

Great holiday in Maheri!!

This Villa is a little gem, had everything we needed, the inside and outside are perfect. We enjoyed both the pool and jacuzzi with perfect views. Loved that villa is out the way and quiet however local restaurants and supermarkets a very short drive away and Kalyves beach is perfect for children. Katerina was a wonderful host from the day of booking and through out our stay advised times and days that cleaner and maintenance being done and came to say goodbye on leaving with little gift reminder of Villa absolutely perfect thank you so much Katerina we loved it and when back in the area would 100% stay again ❤️😍

Fantastic villa

My husband and I had a wonderful honeymoon at Olga's property, it was perfect for us . It was spotless and we were greeted by Katrina and a lovely gift basket of fruit, wine and homemade cake was there for us.  Definitely need a hire car, as it settled up in the mountains overlooking beautiful landscape and the sea in the distance. It was wonderful in the mornings waking up and going out on to the terrace where there was the hot tub to the sound of Cockerels, the bells of the goats and the sheep in the distance.

Lovely villa that is even nicer than the photos portray. Probably the best I've stayed in. Jacuzzi superb as the temperature cooled. Couldn't have had a better host than Katerina who was always available for help or information 

Unbeatable

Me and my family had a lovely experience here from the pool to the rooftop jacuzzi it was fabulous we were aware we needed a car as it is quite remote but we didn’t and we just grabbed taxis which wasn’t all bad their was a cafe just a couple minutes up from us but we didn’t go as every time we walked up their to maybe get a drink we didn’t feel very welcomed but it could have being a language barrier, their is a number of little villages close by, by taxis or car their is a few places to eat and a couple little shops we mostly went to the main city Chania we loved it their it’s about 35mins away, we were giving a very warm welcome and they were kind enough to get us shopping items as we arrived late this home is so beautiful picture really don’t do it justice!

A beautiful home

First of all, a great house for a vacation. However, there were some things not mentioned. There is so called ‘quiet time’ between 14:30-18:00 and from 23:00-07:00. You can’t make ANY noise between those times. Because people of the village will complain. So not a great place for a friends vacation (music and loud talking). There was also not a lot of hot water. 2 people were able to shower, then you had to push a button and wait 30 MINUTES, until there was hot water again. Dishwasher and washing machine also didnt work without the hot water. Lastly, the villa is very far away from any decent village. It is a 35 min drive to Chania. So we had to take the car for everything we wanted to do. Overall de villa was great, but if all of these things above were mentioned, we would have booked a different villa.

Unmentioned rules

The villa was perfect! We had a very good time in the Villa Erontas with a lot of sun and a lot of good food! Katerina was very nice and helpful. She recomended good restaurants near the villa and beaches to visit. 

Perfect Stay

First a foremost, the host Katerina is an amazing and caring host - she's the perfect host. Always willing to help, she genuinely cares that you're having a good time and went above and beyond to make sure my stay was a great one. It's a beautiful location, very tranquil and a small community. The facilities of the villa are everthing you'd need from a lovely pool, perfectly positioned hot tub on the upstairs balcony with views across the valley and sea. The villa also has mod cons such as washing machine, dishwasher etc to make your life that little easier. I stayed in the beautifully designed villa, Villa Aladonas and could easily accomodate a large group of friends or large family. There's plenty of outdoor seating, 3 parasols and tables etc. Aircon in every room. You're far away from all the house, however the walk down to Kalyves which has a lovely beach is a great walk. If you have a car, even better! I'd recommend either villa as I saw the other one too and I certainly recommend Katerina as a host. 


Phenomenal host and beautiful villa with stunning views, traditional and quant village.
