I have recently returned from this beautiful boutique hotel in the centre of the old port of Chania.
I am so pleased I found this gem of a hotel for my visit for Greek Orthodox Easter.
On arrival Amalia was so welcoming and gave me really good advice about where to go during my stay ( and some lovely chocolates too!). Its a family run hotel and they were all so kind and friendly and made sure I had everything I needed. 
My room was beautiful,  tastefully decorated,  very clean,  and had a really comfortable bed and lovely bathroom with an excellent shower and although in the centre it was very peaceful so I slept well.
There was a hairdryer, iron, and even a mini ironing board in my room ,plenty of extra blankets and lovely shower gel and shampoo. 
Location was perfect, right in the centre of the old harbour, close to the sea, lovely restaurants and a short walk from the bus station. As a solo traveller I like to be near everything and I was happy to find a wonderful traditional restaurant,  lovely small bar and patisserie right next door.

I had a wonderful stay and will definitely be returning to Morfeas next year.

Beautiful family run hotel in a perfect location 

We had a fantastic time in Chania and it was made easier by the attention of Apostle in reception.From the moment we arrived he made us feel welcome and sorted everything we needed.Cosy place and very modern located right next to the harbour and restaurants.Highly recommended!!👍

I firstly stayed at this hotel in September 2016 and i really loved it! Since then it is my first choice for accomodation in Chania. Mrs. Maria and her daughter Amalia are adorable!!! I feel them like family:). The rooms are clean, big and nice decorated. Excellent location near old port of Chania!

One of my most pleasent stays.
I have been there for 2 times and I'll go again as zoos as I have the time... In the city center... Clean rooms nice aura and very helpful staff... Hope to have the time to go again!!!!

Being mesmerised by the website’s photo gallery and the hotel being right in the middle of Chania, it was only natural that we book our 4 nights directly through their website.  I provided all my details, including card details but no confirmation email came through. After a number of unanswered emails and calls, they sent me an email (after two or three days) informing me that the booking was confirmed despite me not receiving any acknowledgement or confirmation whatsoever. When we arrived at the hotel, the room was much less glamorous than what was shown on their website.  Worst of all it reeked of cigarettes, all night long, which looked strange since nowadays most of the hotels have a very strict non-smoking policy. We put forward our complaint and they offered to change our room, albeit to a noisier one, with a balcony overlooking the narrow street down below, which we obviously couldn’t accept since we treasure our precious sleep time. They also changed and washed all the sheets, fabrics and the aircon filters to minimize the cigarette odour as much as possible, which they managed to but not completely. Other than that, they were quite decent and although they weren’t as swift when replying emails or other messages, they did their best to make our stay as pleasant as possible.

Average rooms, terrible communication, great reception

We stayed here for 3 nights in July for a little getaway and were not disappointed. At first it was a little hard to find but the location turned out to be perfect, right in the heart of everything. The staff were lovely and the rooms had everything we needed in them. 

Close to it all 

Stayed at this small hotel for 5 nights and everything was just wonderful. I had Room 1 on the first floor and although the stairs were very steep, the room was just perfect: very clean with a lovely modern bathroom and a balcony to enjoy a drink while watching the people passing on the street below. The main harbour area with all the restaurants was just at the end of the road and everything you could need was close and convenient. But what really made it a special place was the warmth and friendliness of the family who owned the hotel. Amalia and her mum and dad made me feel so very welcome and I would love to return to Chania in the future. Thank you!

Wonderful hotel!

For a two star hotel I was impressed with Hotel Morfeas. Free WiFi which worked pretty well, newly decorated, nice clean room which was ample size even though it was listed as a small double. 
Really friendly owners, the dad of the family would always greet us with a cheerful “Kalimera.” 
As it’s in an old building, there was no lift. Not a problem for us, but others might need to be aware. Also, some of the rooms only have a window to the atrium and not directly outside. You still get daylight and it actually meant no street noise, so worked out OK. 
Only one or two things that could be better. A kettle is provided but no cups. Also the shower had no screen so the bathroom ended up with a very wet floor. Wasn’t the end of the world and we had a nice stay. 
The location of this hotel is brilliant, two minutes from the harbour and within easy reach of all of old town, and about ten minutes walk from the main bus station. 
I would recommend this hotel but you just need to keep in mind it’s quirks. 

Nice hotel, great location 

Located in the center of chania in a lovely alley way with coffee shops and restaurants.its close by to everything.its clean and room is spacious.maria is very friendly and polite,Mr Axilleas also very friendly.thank you for a lovely stay

Comfortable stay

The hotel:
Excellent hospitality from the owners of the hotel and helpfulness. No elevator and very steep stairs!

The room:
Our room was the cheapest available in the hotel as we didn't need anything more. The room was ok for the price and location. Very clean and tidy. Fridge was included. No hairdryer was included in the room as the owners said somebody took (stole) it. We had to ask from the reception to get one. Our room had a window to the corridor. No bathroom curtain.

General:
Although the alley is very crowded and lively at nights it was very quietly in the room. The only thing you could hear is the owner making noises in the washing room and the sound from the church bells which is nearby.
