Had a prepaid booking 20th-21st June thro Hotels.com at this property ... fully confirmed.
On arrival at 17:30 the owner refused our booking  and claimed he did not deal with Hotels.com.
We are both in our 70's , arriving with over 50kg of luggage in 30c heat with no foodm or drink .... now nowhere to stay.
The owner could not have been more unhelpful, less disinterested in our situation.
In over 40 years of visiting Greece we have never experienced this lack of Greek Hospitality at all.   No suggestions ... just ignored us.
We sat outside for over 2 hours trying to resolve our problem and just when we had thro' Hotels.com he offered us a room provided we paid again.   
The ratings looked good and that's why we booked in July 2021 .... but hey .... if you do go here just go prepared that you will be on your own if there is an issue.

Disasterous ... disinterested .....totally unhelpful

We arrived for our stay at Dimitri's in mid September 2018, and we're instantly made to feel welcome by Sotoris the owner of these beautiful Apartments. Located in the beautiful village of Karavomilos, half way between, Sami and Agia Effimia on the eastern side of this island paradise, and only a couple of minutes walk from the beautiful Mellisilani lake, beaches and tavernas, it really is a gem. The apartments are very clean and suitably equipped for your self catering needs, with comfortable beds, a TV, shower room with hairdryer, and views to the lovely Ionian sea, this is a great place to stay and relax. Upon our arrival, Sotoris showed us to our room and gave us a nice bottle of wine and fresh eggs, which was a really nice touch, he's a lovely fella and nothing is too much trouble for him, he always has a smile for you and invites you to sit on his terrace to drink coffee and chat a while. As a frequent traveler to Kefalonia over a number of years I can honestly say, that, I have no hesitation in recommending this gem of a place to all Kefalonia lovers. See you again next season Sotoris. Yiammas.

A wonderful stay

This property is at a good location near the sea and the port of Sami (reachable by car). It has enough parking space in front and is clean, well-maintained and equipped. Our two rooms were on the ground floor, they were large and had verandahs in front. 
One small complaint: the mattresses were a little too hard - but this depends on individual preferences. 
There is a beach nearby but it is small and pebbled and with larger stones in the water, so you need special shoes (also good against urchins) - can be bought at every corner. There is another beach, larger and sandy, at the nearby camping site, within walking distance. Another two good beach options, very good but accessible with a car, are Antisamos beach and Myrtos beach.
The proprietor is very helpful and friendly and brings fresh eggs from time to time to all his guests. We had a great time at Dimitris Studios, we thank the owners once again and recommend the place wholeheartedly!

Nice accommodation with a good location

very clean studios, well equipped (air conditioning, TV, all the necessary), well positioned near to famous beaches. There are studios in front of the sea and Itaca but others on the road where there is a lot of traffic (you need to take windows closed). Perhaps different prices should be applied according the rooms.

DO NOT TRUST THIS MAN!!!
We booked this small self catering accommodation in January 2017, leaving a substantial deposit, and should have been staying for 11 nights at the end of August/ beginning of September. This would be our first time at this accommodation but not Karavomylos. When we arrived there was nobody there to greet us even though we had previously agreed a time with the owner. Eventually, the owners' father arrived and told us that the room (high floor, full sea view) was occupied and showed us into a ground floor room with the view of a wall for the first night. He told us that we could move into another ground floor room the following day and even though this room was occupied, he showed us the room claiming a sea view. The actual view was of a huge olive tree which almost completely blocked the sea view from this and the room next door, which he again showed us even though this was also occupied.
When we showed him the emails confirming an upper floor and full sea view he became quite nasty and repeated that those rooms were full. Clearly upset and shocked at this behavior and duplicity, never before experienced in Kefalonia in nearly in over 30  holidays, he eventually took cash from his wallet and threw it at us after trying to cheat us out of 50% of our deposit. Frustrated and devastated, we were left with no choice but to leave to find somewhere else to stay (by now it was 6.30pm) for 11 nights.
In addition, the reception area was very untidy and not very clean. Please think twice before booking this accommodation....you may be just as disappointed as we were.

We've just came back from our vacation.
We found at Dimitris Studios a nice location, clean and wonderful persons as hosts.
Close to the Melissani Cave, Karavomilos Lake and Drogarati Cave
We had a room with sea view, which is at 2 minutes walk when you don't want do go to one of the great Kefalonia's beaches.
Very easy to travel by car to any point of the island from this point.
Also 5 minutes by car to Sami and 10 minutes to Ag Efimia
