We booked a double and twin and received a very warm welcome at Pelagos. We enjoyed sea views from the rooms and it was a short walk into town to watch the sunset and eat dinner. The owner was very helpful and booked us taxis (there aren't many on the island, so if you are arriving at the other port it is definitely worth booking a pick up in advance!) Breakfast is extra and we enjoyed it.

We absolutely loved Amorgos - our highlight was visiting the stunning monastery of Panagia Hozoviotissa, built into the rockface near Chora, where you are greeted by the friendly monks. It is a short walk down to a beautiful beach and a wonderful 4 hour walk back to Aegeli  (not the smoothest of paths, but remote, rugged and stunning - we only met 2 other couples the whole time)

Very enjoyable 3 night stay in beautiful Amorgos

- Clean rooms with a nice view and air con.
- Friendly owners with good prior communication
- Good location, 5/10 mn from the bus stop, the restaurants, the beach, the diving center
- Breakfast is not the strongest point, but it's OK
You don't have that many places to stay at Amorgos, so Pelagos is a very good choice, especially if you don't have a car.

Nice place to stay

The location is key for accessing the village and beach of Aigiali, but in the same time you are close to the main road and bus station for exploring the nearby villages by car or bus. The parking yard opposite the hotel also helps a lot. Room amenities were more than adequate (I got a budget room, since I was there only for one night). The owner was super friendly and collaborative, she even took the initiative to suggest i took a cheaper room. Walking distance to all restaurants and camping is also accessible on foot with some extra effort. Would definitely stay there again!

Excellent stay, well positioned, friendly owner, parking space.

First of all, Amorgos is beautiful. It has some great things to do and see. The atmosphere is unique. It has some really nice beaches ( also in Aegaili ). Hotel Pelagos is the place to stay! We had a really nice simple room with a handpainted flower on the wall. We had outstanding view over the sea and Aegaili. Sofia and Dimitri, who runned the hotel, were verry helpful and friendly from the heart. Their sun Yannis did a good job with helping with breakfast and doing some reception work :-). Breakfast was good with fresh orangejuice.They also have boats and cars for rent. We took a car for one day, and we didnt have to pay much(new Fiat Panda).We really liked Pelagos and its Island Amorgos. Thums up!

Pelagos was one of our best experience of the Cyclades.

It's our second visit at this nice hotel at Amorgos. We love the hospitality of the owners and they give us the feeling that we came at home. When we come to this beautifull island again we certainly choose for Pelagos.

Coming home

Very nice hotel in Aigiali, in the northwestern part of the island of Amorgos, Greece. Very good location for nature lovers and walkers .Perfect to enjoy relaxing holidays at the beach. Delicious breakfasts and clean and nice rooms. Sofia, the owner and all personal really kind and helpful made oír time in Amorgos an unforgettable experience. We will repeat as soon as we can.

Hotel Pelagos Amorgos 

Stayed for one week in Pelagos and have the best memories. Very clean fresh towels every day and the room was also cleaned on daily basis.The view was fantastic looking at the harbor.The owner Mrs. Sofia was very helpful with all of our needs and gave us plenty of information about places to visit. I highly recommend the hotel to all.

Hospitality and friendly people

I booked a room for one night in this place by e-mail, about two weeks in advance. Everything looked nice on the webpage and the staff wrote to me that they would meet me in the harbour when I arrived at 02.00 in the night, and that I would get a nice room with a balcony. After a long, exhausting day of flights and ferries, I arrived and saw some people from hotels, but none from Pelagos. Since the ferry was on time, I waited for about half an hour until I walked to the hotel. Finally there, the reception was closed and the owner wouldn't answer me on any of the phone-numbers when I tried to call. Some nice Greek youths who stayed at the hotel tried to help me find her but we didn't succeed. At last, I walked to a nearby hotel where they called the woman at Pelagos to wake her up. She didn't even apologize properly (just said that they were having some problems) and tried to make me pay for a room in the basement - it was hot, smelled like smoke and had a tiny fan. When seeing my reaction, I got to stay there one night for free. That actually felt like the least they could do. This kind of trouble is not what a lone traveller wants after a long nights journey...
