Hotel am Mühlenteich

My wife and I booked a two night stay in a junior suite at this property. The receptipn was not manned, but there was a note saying to ring the bell for the staff to come. The problem was that there was none. I then went out of the hotel and used the night bell outside. I was not impressed at all with the check-in procedures; the receptionist did not greet us, he did not bother to ask how our journey was, he did not have any eye contact with us, instead he seemed to be looking for our paperwork. We finally made it to the room to be possitively surprised by the state of it: big, spacious and spotless clean. There was quite a nice personally addressed letter to us but, the bottle of sekt that was part of our deal was missing. The breakfast was very good, excellent coffee and typical delicious fresh german rolls. I went to the reception to tell the staff member about the missing bottle of sekt and was quite impressed to see that a bell was placed there by the note saying to ring the bell when the reception was not manned. Guess what, there was a bottle of wine waiting for us in the room we when returned in the evening. To end this, I can only recommend this establishment further despite the less welcoming start but mainly due to the cleansiness of this hotel and mostly due to the professional, friendly and positive attitude of I believe to be the manager
