This delightful place right at the town centre opposite town hall is a gem. First time we stayed in the apartment in the attic ( May 2017) and December in one of the first floor apartments. We can see the Christmas market from our windows. Everything is nearby. The apartments are clean, modern and stylish. If you are visiting Rudolstadt this must be the place where you should stay!

Great hotel for an amazing price

We booked the Aparthotel Rudolstadt using Booking.com, which lists the address as “Markt 13”. Trip Advisor lists the address as “Am Gatter 8”, but they manage both. This review is for the unit “Charlottes Nest” on third floor at the address “Markt 13”. When we arrived around 17:30 and the reception was closed. We went to a tourist office across the market place in front of the hotel and they phoned the Manager, Mr. Lars. In few minutes, he arrived, giving us the keys and kindly provided us all sort of information about the unit and the city. The unit has a well-equipped kitchen, a nice a comfortable bedroom with fireplace, and a bathroom with a good shower and a convenient drying rack electric heater. The building looks old but it is just the facade, it was recently built and it is totally new inside. The room has two windows facing the beautiful market place of Rudolstadt. The parking is just 170m from the hotel (at Saslgasse 12) and there is a Rewe supermarket 400m west. It was a very quiet place to sleep and even the street market on Wednesday didn’t disturbe us. We had a nice experience staying on this new and cozy aparthotel.
