Stayed there and checked out after one night. Mattress too old, woke up with back pain. Room to the front feels like being next to a highway, plus that the shop on the ground floor gets deliveries early in the morning 

Not again

The hotel shines in many ways - but also falls below any expectations in many other ways. So in the total 3 stars is probably a fair rating. I stayed in room 4 for 89 EUR / night without breakfast.

What I liked
- Friendlyness is really a big thing in this hotel. During my whole stay I felt welcomed and served very well. 
- The beds are really good - something I did not expect from the looks of the room. I had a good night sleep which is probably the most important thing when staying in a hotel
- Good breakfast
- Free WiFi
- Free Parking with enough spaces but in an ackward backstreet and looking quite shady
- Fair prices at the small shopping area next to the reception (2,50€ for a 0.5l beer is ok)

What I did not like
- the building is really old and has not been renovated for a while. It is also not very clean ... in many corners you can see dust and dirt.
- the room I was in was white. White bed, white wall, white lamp, white table...white white white. Some pictures at the wall would have helped to give it a more modern look.
- My room was very dated especially the bathroom. It looked more as a blue collar worker´s room than a hotel room. I was told not to use the second bed in my room. Hmm... I booked a double room so isn't it my room. I only need one bed but why requesting this?
- The shower is really horrible and this is clearly two star down for me. Hardly any water came out of the shower head and I massaged it for quite a while to get some of noozles cleaned enough so water was able to flow again. Clearly a no-go for a hotel ...  especially because they do not provide shampoo or shower gel (so remember to bring your own).
- The street in front of the hotel is VERY loud. No chance to sleep with open windows
- No air conditioning. I was lucky it was raining that evening so it cooled down
- Pricing with 89 EUR / night + 8 EUR for breakfast is too high even for Munich.

The family that runs the hotel is absolutely lovely - however I probably will not stay here again because of the above mentioned points.
