I booked a room at the Galerie Hotel under the mistaken impression that it was close to the Stuttgart Messe, where I was attending an exposition. In fact it is quite far away both from the convention centre and the centre of Stuttgart.
That said, the hotel (more like a B&B really) was quite nice and cosy, the breakfast was good, the desk was very helpful and friendly and the surrounding villiage and country-side was very pretty. 
To get to the convention centre took a 20 minute bus ride on a bus that came every 30 mins during the day and every hour later in the evening.  To get to Stuttgart center there was a different bus going to a stop on the S-Bahn train.  The whole trip took about 40 minutes.
This was a mixed work/pleasure trip, in that I went with my wife, who took advantage to sight see around Stuttgart and visit a friend near Heidelburg.
Overall, we had a pleasant stay at this place, but I do not think I would go there again.

Nice Room, simple hotel, out of the way

I stayed there for the 1st week of December while I was on business. The owners were welcoming and very helpful, pointing out places to visit, public transportation options, restaurants available etc. Breakfast was the standard German layout, with breads, cheeses, and meat, with tea, coffe and juice. Nothing spectacular but adequate. The hotel has 4 good restaurants at a walking distance from it, and the bus stop is also only 5 min away. The U-bahn station is slightly inconvienient, it is howeevr 5 min bus ride away. That is the only negative about this hotel. Due to last minute changes in my agenda I had to change my deparure date twice, but the owners did not have any issue at all and I was not charged an extra penny for it. Stuttgart city is about 20 min away by bus and train combined or about 20 min away by driving too.
