Fantastic weekend in the eifel at Hotel Talschenke, the rooms were very clean and the shower was brilliant,the food was tremendous, the staff very friendly and the setting was perfect, going back next year, plenty of walking opportunities to explore

Weekend getaway

This Hotel is nestled in a beautiful deep valley, surrounded on both
sides by tall green pine trees. A little river flows through the centre
and past the hotel. Beautiful old houses for the landscape.
The family that own this charming hotel are very very friendly,
and nothing is too much trouble. The setting is amazing and the terrace is a perfect 
place to relax, after a hard day’s hiking, on one of the trails nearby. The food 
in the restaurant is superb as is the choice of beers. Lovely spacious rooms and 
very comfortable beds.
A perfect hotel for booking my tour guests into.
The valley is very historical and once the heart of a massive WW2 Battlefield.

Fantastic Hotel in beautiful location

We didn't stayed in this hotel but we came here to eat several times. Local very tasty food, huge portions, fresh, homemade. Very good staff (very friendly and helpful), they try to speak your language, reasonable price. Highly recommend if you stay in the region! 

The best restaurant in the village. 

This charming hotel lies in a small village of only 50 people. It is ideal for those who like hiking and explore the northern part of the Eifel and enjoy the peace and quiet of nature. Staff is extremely friendly. Rooms are very clean. The restaurant is very cosy and the food is superb (try game or trout). Very, very recommended!

Charming and cosy hotel in the middle of the forest.

Such a peaceful location which reeks of secret history. This hotel is a gem. The rooms are comfortable with all facilities you might expect, but it is several steps above your average hotel. Both dinner and breakfast were lovely. The steak at dinner rates amongst the best I have tasted anywhere and the bearnaise sauce was sinfully beautiful. If you are visiting, take a moment to visit the church - stunning. This hotel is definitely one on my return list.
