The St. Augustine's Monastery dates from 1242 AD, was rebuilt in 1721 and turned in a hotel in the 19eighties. The hotel was completely renovated in 2007 and offers 83 rooms over 4 floors. Free Wi-Fi and free parking. When you have a car the hotel is ideally situated. The quiet region and the hiking possibilities attract many visitors, mostly Germans. We had room 115 at the garden side of the hotel. Our spacious room was tastefully furnished and decorated, had an good double bed, desk & chair, coffee & tea making facility, double wardrobe with safe, daybed & club-chair, flat screen TV, and a separate bathroom with double washbasin, toilet & rain shower. All was very clean. The windows can be opened. The complimentary spa covers 400 square meters and has a massage & beauty area. In the spa find indoor pool, Finnish sauna at 90°C, steam sauna at 50°C, herbal sauna at 55°C, and different cooling down showers. Surprisingly there are no warm foot-basins. There are two resting areas and a wellspring water tap. The buffet breakfast is very good with ample variety and eggs made to order. We would recommend this hotel to anyone who seeks a good night’s sleep and a nice spa. Highly recommended.
