This review is actually for the restuarant inside this hotel.   We stopped there as part of an Oceania excursion of the Normandy Invsion beaches.  There were 3 Oceania groups of about 38 people each, yet the small restuarant was able to handle all the groups on two floots.  Our meal was fantastic as was the red wine and chardony they served along with great bread.   Everone's meal consisted of some type of meat loaf which tasted like liver and salad, turkey and potatoes in  white sauce, and then a gret apple pie with ice cream.  It was fantastic.   

The La Marine restuarant in this hotel made one of the best lunches we have had on a pre paid excursion.  

Stayed one night on a tour of Normandy. Hotel is right on the quay with free parking opposite near the fish market. room was clean and slightly dated with en suite bathroom and shower missing it's shower curtain. WiFi was patchy but free. Breakfast was limited but had the basics. Dined out in the evening in a local café of which there are many since the hotel restaurant was overpriced compared to the local area. Nice to stay in a hotel with character compared to the modern type. Note. there is no lift or tea/coffee making facilities in the room or any UK TV channels but we expected that from this older type of hotel. I would stay here again albeit for one night only because of it's excellent location.

Ok for a short stay

Amazing location. Smart bar and dining area .However this Hotel badly needs to invest in upgrading its bedrooms from 1950s standards. They are in a shabby tired-out state with broken window fastenings, loose door catches and an elastic band holding up our shower head.  In fact the bathrooms do not have proper showers just shower heads set at low level.  Windows are dirty and with plentiful seagulls should be cleaned regularly. Breakfasts are OK but avoid for evening meals. Local restaurants are plentiful and better value. Staircase fire doors propped open with furniture and even a fire extinguisher !!!!  Incredibly dangerous - a fire inspector would go berserk at that.  

Stay

The location is incredible - watching the scenic harbour of Port-en-Bassin Huppain, and the fish market. We had a sea view room - top left...
That being said, the hotel amenities are mediocre at best:
Rooms are small, ours shower had no closing for the tab. towels were quite small too... and it is time to refute the urban legend called "free WIFI". The network is available in the lobby at best.
The hotel restaurent is very good, but it is expensive! 9 EUR per person for the continental breakfast.
There are plenty of good places to eat around Port-en-Bassin, so do not limit yourselves.
There is a small but active fish market just across the street, but unless you are well-equipped for outdoor cooking, it's only for looks.
Make sure you cross the canal to the east and walk to the shell beach. it is a unique place. Also recommended is taking a walk up on the cliffs over the beach. Very tranquil and scenery is beautiful.
To finish up - the location is absolutely excellent for any of you who is interested in D-Day experience. I strongly recommend the battery in Longues-sur-mer - 5 minutes drive east from the Hotel; and Point d'Hoc - about 40 minutes drive to the west. 
BTW - the staff is very friendly and welcoming - not an obvious thing in France.
All-in-all: It was a good stay, we enjoyed it a lot (2 adults + 2 adolescents in 2 rooms)

No parking at hotel but is nearby,expensive breakfast in comparison to other places stayed,had to close the window at night due to noise,damp towels left on bed for use of guests.no coffee making facilities.

Good location

Booked two rooms at the hotel. genuine warm welcome from the staff. The location was excellent and just minutes away from the main promenade. The room and bathroom was pleasant and very clean. Although the booking site states that there is no parking, you can generally park opposite by the fish market or over the bridge, a couple of minutes walk. The accommodation is on the second and third floor, and there is no lift. Did not use the restaurant as it was packed, which in itself speaks volumes. Breakfast was plentiful and fresh but did lack choice. No tea and coffee facilities in the room, which is a small oversight and no English channels on the TV. Central to everything, Bayeux ten minutes away and museums everywhere.
Overall good value for money and would definitely use again

Weekend in Normandy

The hotel is well located on the port and very good value with friendly and helpful staff, .but the restaurant is quite simply out of this world. I can't remember ever eating better at such prices. All the dishes and wines were perfect, refined  with a special mention for the desert in my case a tarte au citron meringue.
