19 reviewsI just got back from here and can recommend it highly. Certain conditions apply: You had best be travelling solo or really like the person you are travelling with, as the rooms are tiny, but, for me, were perfect. Don't bother with a taxi, because the hotel is about 20 paces from the train station. Just go out the front door of the station, walk forward across the street, and you are already on Helios. Go down the hill and bear right, the hotel is just another few steps on the left hand side. "Virgo Maria" is painted on the building in blue. The lady running the place was very friendly, and spoke plenty of English for basics. Breakfast is not included, and is 6 Euros for bread, coffee, croissant. The lift is incredibly tiny and is an adventure in itself. I was in room 32, and the window opened out onto stunning scenery. It looked like an illustration from "Heidi". The room was smaller than most American bathrooms, there is no TV and no A/C. Luckily, I was here at the perfect season, and needed no A/C, there is a radiator for heat and it works well. If you are simply looking for clean and convenient shelter, this is ideal.
