Our experience at Mas d’isnard was exceptional. Girard greeted us as we pulled up to the farmhouse, after opening the front entrance gate to the driveway. Girard is a warm and attentive host, and will ensure your comfort during your stay. There are three guest rooms and ours included a lovely view, bathroom, and table for coffee. The bed was very comfortable (firm)! We slept very well. Gerard gave us advice for horse riding in Saints-Marie-de-la-mer and we were fortunate to get a same day reservation to ride the beautiful Camargue horses through a vast protected nature preserve. 
The breakfast was delicious and the juice fresh pressed! A lovely table was set. There is an outdoor seating area for relaxing and the location is perfect to explore Arles center and ancient ruins, as well as the natural beauty of the Camargue. Though the farmhouse is in a quiet and very rural setting, it is in perfect driving distance to restaurants and local attractions. I would not recommend biking or walking you need a car.

Rustic, Relaxing, and Welcoming B and B!!

Terrific location, inside the deep nature of Camargue. The owner has transformed a typical farmhouse into a cosy and luxury family run BB, with clean and finely furnitured rooms and a cosy fireplace to have some warm relax. Don't miss Gerard cuisine and the homemade breakfast: simplu super.

The place to be

Can only agree wholeheartedly with the other reviews. This is not a usual hotel experience, it's more like staying as a family guest. Gerard, the host, is the best, as is the accommodation. All rooms are unique, spotless and perfectly equipped. The only challenge is finding the property itself - research beforehand on internet maps so you know exactly where to aim for. It is in a very quiet rural setting, but only a short-ish drive into town. Free secure parking on-site, great value.

A unique French experience.

We stayed for two nights back in March this year and the wonderful memory lingers on.  Gerard, our wonderful host, prepared steaks from the black Carmargue bull for dinner on our second night, grilled on hot embers on the hearth of the massive in door fireplace, served with potatoes Dauphinois, vegetables and local wine.  We had a hot cheese starter and pudding was strawberries and cream.  Fabulous!  The only niggle we had was that there were no hooks or hangers in the room for coats, etc.  We will certainly re-visit in the future.

Exceptional!

The only critique I have for this place is that finding it (especially at night) is difficult because its signs are very small.   But apparently that is the fault of Arles ordinances and not the owner, who is an excellent and accommodating host. (P.S.-  Hone your French speaking skills!)  His French breakfast is good (excellent coffee and orange juice) and his local-fare dinners are delicious.  If I were to visit Provence again, I'd spend several more days in Arles (because of its central location) and certainly at this place!  Oh, and did I mention that it is very reasonably priced?

Great location, Great Host, Great Value

An authentic provence country experience. Very generous host (despite the language barrier). Very good traditional continental breakfast. The establishment does not accept credit cards. Good amenities. 

Great country experience

Based on the very positive reviews here we decided to stay here for two nights. The place is located in the middle of nowhere. We brought bikes and went to Arles two days, which is about a 30 minutes ride. The problem with the location is that there truly isn’t anything around, neither is the garden very appealing to sit in. 

The bedrooms have been nicely refurbished and are spacious. The windows have mosquito screens and the airco works well. A serious issue is that the bed is quite small and has metal end frames, so a person taller than 1.75 cannot sleep in properly it on its back.

The breakfast is very good and extensive, although the room downstairs in which it is served is a bit grim; not an inviting place to hang around. 

The host is very friendly and keeps a good privacy distance. Unfortunately he does not speak English. 

With a better bed, I would have rated this place with 4 stars.
