Hotel Kalkstrand

I stayed with my family in a family room at Hotell Kalkstrand, and I have to say that this was by far the best family room we’ve stayed in. The room was very big and had a separate table with four chairs. This was very nice, as family sized hotel rooms are normally, in my opinion, way too small for a family. I.e. there are four beds and exactly one chair. No room for luggage, clothing or what have you. But not at Kalkstrand; there was room for all and then some. The breakfast was another story. There were very few guests at that time, so the breakfast setup was the most modest I’ve ever seen. You did not have to ponder for very long what to eat as there were very few alternatives to chose from. We also ate lunch, the fish was very good. The staff was very nice and the manager paid us a short visit both mornings. There are a separate door for checked-in guests. This is very nice as you do not need to pass the reception every time you enter or exit the hotel.
