If you want a spacious ensuite on the island with working Aircon then this is the best possible value for money. We paid 40usd a night and were very happy.
Lots of other places are expensive and not much better

Cheap and functional. Basic quiet room with great Aircon

stumbled upon this place when trying to find cheap accommodation for a private double. The 4 or 5 other places we checked nearby were offering room with ensuite and A/C for US$35 at best (but mainly US$40-45), whereas the guy here agreed to US$30 if we stayed for a few nights (we ended up having 4 in total). The room was big, a/c worked really well, and there was hot water. The wifi was accessible in the room but its strength/reliability varied day-to-day. When we returned from an island to stay 1 more night (as we’d arranged with the guy) and there was initially a woman at the desk, she advised us quite rudely that an a/c room was no longer available at US$30, only US$35. We told her we would go elsewhere then, and she didn’t seem to care. Once she disappeared however the guy, after some faffing about said he did in fact have a room, and could honour the price we’d agreed. He ended up apologising on behalf of the woman, who evidentally saw us as open wallets as a lot of locals do! Anyway, would recommend this place for basic, cheap accomm very close to the port.

Good value for money. Got the essentials covered

I wouldn't say it's terrible, but for what I paid, it was expensive. The most basic room, tiny, with a bathroom that was a bit shabby, all for $25 USD, it wasn't great. No common areas either. The only good thing about it was the location, being in the heart of Puerto Ayora. There are plenty of places at this same level of cleanliness and comfort, so make sure you compare prices. This one is not that fantastic and you can surely get a better price than this elsewhere.

Expensive For What You Get

The owner is an absolute CRIMINAL! Even doing my laundry at his laundry place across the street he’s sketch. The guy charged me for 5kg - at 3x the price of other places - and I asked him to weigh it again in front of me and this is what I saw - pic below. Clearly see it’s JUST over 3kg but he had already taken my money 🤷🏻 Ended up paying about 5x more than I would’ve at the place at the top of the street - can’t remember the name of that place but wonderful people. Just avoid them and go somewhere else

Owner is criminal!

Too expensive for a basic cheap hostel.  EXTREMELY noisy. I had to wake up very early to catch a boat and didn't get ANY sleep the entire night because there was a noisy group of people downstairs (right next to the lobby so clearly the staff doesn't care) until past 5am!  Absolutely ridiculous, would not recommend.

Horrible experience

I did not enjoy my stay here and ended up changing hotel. The installation are ok but the place is noisy and the owner / manager are dishonest. You can easily find better place for a better price. If you have to stay here dont book online but on site as price is much cheaper just like evry other hotel here.
