My friends and I found this hotel on Lonely Planet, and while the rooms and facilities were adequate for the $25 per person price tag (a sizeable sum in Equador), we were disappointed that the pool, hot tub & bar/restaurant were not available.  The lack of hot water in the rooms was also a pain. 
The rooms were comfy, though the occasional moth & constant sound of the manager's dogs barking all night spoiled all our sleep. 

The main issue; since our car wouldn't start the morning of our departure, we asked the manager (the only member of staff on duty) where to find one. He told us there were none in the area and he would call one, though after 3 hours of waiting and asking, we realised he was not calling anyone, instead keeping us here until he could charge us for a second night (there was infact a mechanic 150m from the hotel). 

Very unhappy.
