We need to carry our own pillow cover, bedsheet and covers otherwise they ll charge for it.

Bestbast is costly and der is a option to make our own breakfast without any money to pay.

Bus facility is rare.


Nice place

Our group of professors and graduate students in archaeology and art history were treated unkindly, and schoolchildren were not allowed to use a kitchen or living room, and our students were confiscated a palette of beer, rooms that had not been renovated for about 40 years, dirty, toilets in the hallway (!) without paper and soap. After 14 days of excursion in Denmark with many good hostels and simple hotels to the absolute low.

Strictly guided schoolhouse

Well kept grounds and rooms. Adequate lodgings bed they provided bedding.  Very friendly staff. Didn't spend a lot of leisure time on the premises but it was a great staring point for exploration in the area. You can rent a bike to explore would recommend that beautiful country side and beaches near by 

Value for money 

The woman working at the reception was incredibly rude. We were a slight bit earlier before the allowed check-in time, so we asked if it was possible to check-in already. She told us that we were interrupting her time and angrily gave us the key.The Wifi connection was also too bad to be used. Sometimes you could open a web browser, most of the time you couldn't.

Good location, bad hostel

Good breakfast, but everything else left to be desired.

It's very close to Møns Klint, but the structure is bad.

The hostel was clean and quiet and had a couple of nice public rooms for sitting and a seemingly well-equipped kitchenette (which we didn't use). I don't know if the building has been a hospital or a school earlier, but it definitely had a retro feeling especially in showers and wc's - they were old (separate switches for hot and cold water etc.), but clean and well-functioning, so not a problem, just a cute feature.

Make sure to inform them if you are planning to arrive late. We arrived at 9 pm or so (this was just a pit-stop for us on our way from Sweden to Germany), and didn't realize to call and agree about it, we only mentioned it in our reservation online. They had left our room key on a cart in the hallway, and even though it was in an envelope with our name clearly on it, we managed to miss the whole thing and had to bother the hostel keeper by calling that late. She came to show us the keys (apparently lives in the same building), but was understandably less than happy to do so that late in the evening.

Otherwise, our stay was smooth. We did not have breakfast there so no comments on that. The best thing about the place is definitely the nature; a trail to Mons klint (~5 km) leaves right from the corner of the building. We visited the cliffs by car in the morning so at the hostel we only had a brief evening walk, not the whole trail, but it was nice as well with views on the pretty Danish countryside.

Basic hostel in a lovely place

One-night stop over with small children. Beautiful island and would recommend for trekking and cycling. The breakfast at the hotel was nice and the owners were very helpful and gave good tips on local sights and restaurants. If something I would hope that the room would have been cleaned better; also beneath the beds and between beds and walls as there was quite an amount of spider nets and dust.In general good value for your money.

This is perfect accomodation if you are visiting Mons Klint and are using public transport. There are 2 bus stops outside the hostel linking you with the Cliffs and Stege (a quaint town that links you with the train at Vordinborg). Don´t be fooled into thinking this is a ´hostel´-I found it to be more like a bed and breakfast with different types of  (Very clean!) rooms. It is surrounded by beautiful landscapes-a perfect break if you need to escape. If you are lucky, the host Marianne may be cooking her fantastic organic food which she serves to arriving travelers for a very reasonable price!

A peaceful oasis

We decided to stay there a little longer and rest on our roadside, which was generous with rain and a little tired. We did it in advance, in a couple of months, because this island is very popular with the locals and finding free options in the summer - it's not easy. I'll tell you right away that there are never any fancy hotels there, it's simple, and the main purpose of the arrivals is to communicate with nature.

Moto trip to the island of Myong

The structure is quite old, as well as the room, clean but dated. Breakfast is very good and abundant, as in the standard Danhostel. For those staying in this hostel, a visit to the rocks of Møns Klint, about 6 km from the hostel, fascinating and unique in Denmark, is a must. For a dinner by the sea I recommend the village of Klintholm Havn, in the southern part of the island of Møn.
