Villa Valdepian

Villa Valdepian is located on the beach with view to the sea from most of its apartments. It has an airconditioned restaurant with terasse just on the beach with smiling, helpful staff. and good food. The beach is rocky but with bit of sandy part, too. A 25m long concrete path leads into the water and I very much liked the stairs and handrail, which allowed elderly people to safely enter the water.
We booked one of the 2 apartments with French balcony (both facing the sea), which on one hand provided a beautiful view to the sea but also a noisy restaurant terasse during evenings. Not recommended if you visit with small kids or you need quiet place to sleep.
The Villa looks good from outside but I think it could be better inside, too than it actually is. There've been few annoyances in the apartment: there was a storm on our first night from the sea, and the wind flung the window grates wide open and we could not close them but find a heavy object to keep it tight (the window/dor had a key but the lock was broken so we could not lock it). The small refrigerator had a problem too. For some reason it was rather heating on the bottom right corner than freezing. And then I think the kitchen could have been better equipped... (in addition dishes were dirty in the cupboard, we had to wash them all).
Note: rooms are not air conditioned. Actually this is a pro for us since we hate air conditioning but I know that some cannot live without AC through hot summer.
Overall, we spent an excellent week there and putting all together: location, price, service I can warmly recommend this place.

Excellent location, room could be better

We came there with friends and two dogs.
Staff was really friendly but i must admit food was just below average.
Starters were humiliating, main course was tasteless (cooked)fillet of fish and some cooked vegetables, salad didn’t deserve name salad. It was a joke.
Due to location, prices and name of the food in price list we expected at least simple tasty food, but sadly it was far from that.
Totally disappointed.

Nice staff, terrible food

Villa Valdepian enters the 2022 season with a young management team and chef Marko Gorela in the restaurant Anna’s garden. You can enjoy a romantic dinner with a view to the sea, and wake up in a roomy apartment accompanied with a fresh delicacy breakfast. Must visit location when in Savudrija.

Young team takes over Vila Valdepian

We were there with my wife in an apartment with a French balcony. The apartment was not fancy, however, we liked it for the view of the sea, large living room and nice bedroom. The location is excellent. Exit directly to the beach. Excellent Adriatic golf course nearby, less than 10 minutes by a car.

Great location nice apartment

Just what we needed it, when we needed it... for a do-nothing break. The sea-facing view was worth it, and gave us a shaded balcony for meals and reading. Staff - especially Sasha looking after the restaurant - were smiley and helpful, and willing to go the extra mile to make guests feel comfortable and at home. The apartment kitchen was sparcely equipped, but sufficient to fry up some fresh local fish. No salt/pepper/sugar provided / left behind, so take what you need if you plan to cook / eat in.  Would definitely stay again. Decent supermarket in Umag (15' by car?), and more events further afield if entertainment is needed.

Relaxing seaview (at a premium!)

For nearly ten years we come to Villa Valdepian. Perfect ambience, perfect conditions for a vacation with familiy and kids and a suitable accomodation for spending days or weeks relaxing. The sea nearby - just breathtaking


Take your time and enjoy...

We stayed in an apartment for ten days at the beginning of August. Despite the time of year it wasn't too crowded. Lots of space in the adjoining lawns. Staff were very friendly. Great swims to be had in the bay. The location means you're away from the big crowds around the famous istrian towns though the nearby camping sites are pretty busy. Beautiful views of the sea the gulf of Trieste and Julian alps. Just a couple of issues. Big markup in price in august rather expensive considering the quality of the flats. The flats are very good but for example no air conditioning and the wifi was intermittent. The deck chairs are very useful but we had to get them and put them back but they are very heavy. Didn't eat there because it seemed a bit pricey but there is a lovely terrace where we had coffees and aperitifs with friendly bar staff. So all in all an excellent holiday in a beautiful place but the price vs what you get makes it a four rather than five star. Perhaps going in June or sept gives a better deal.

Lovely villa in superb location

We went for a coffee , the terrace is the most beautiful place in the area. a large lawn which is great for relaxing , its close to the beach , sea view is phenomenal . 
You have the possibility of lunches and breakfasts , highly recommended for families , it is certainly a peaceful place and it feels that you can fill the batteries.

Beaufiful villa

Came here by chance and it was a little bit of heaven. Rented a apartment with kitchen,living room and bedroom. A very nice balcony also. Really liked the atmosphere, quiet calm and friendly. The only negative was that it was a bit expensive.
