to be honest I ended up paying more money to stay in a private room hoping it was going to be comfortable comparing in it to a shared room in la brisa...

I was mistaken and by a lot.

The beds were stiff, the AC was pointed directed to the upper bed and was almost impossible to find a combination between not dying of cold in the top bed and not dying of a heatstroke in the lower one.

The smell in the room was of cheap cologne, to be honest i don't know if this is the hotel fault or not but the ventilation was very poor too.

Bad room design, awful smell and bad beds.

I used the coworking space for 2 weeks there, it was great : beautiful space, great to focus with all the plants and colors around, great staff...
I decided to book a private room there after a few days working there and it was a big mistake. Flamingo is connected to La Brisa Loca Hostel that is a HUGE party hostel with lots of noise, very loud music and very powerful bass, impossible to sleep. 
It's a shame because the flamingo room that I booked was very clean, welcoming and confortable. The staff at the reception is great and the restaurant serves good and filling food.

great coworking space but DO NOT sleep there

The place is super clean and tranquilo during the day, the internet connection was really good and stable, the bay is close as well as banks, parks, coffes and Parque de los Novios (full of restaurants).

Nice co working

The place is grate for working and very cure to hang out. However you are entering throughout other hostel that also plays loud music during night. Very annoying. I recommend to come and work but not necessary stay over night if you like to sleep during night.

Amazing Co-WORK with fast internet

Flamingo is a fantastic stay with amazing staff, great facilities/food, and a good home base to come back to. Definitely recommend staying here if you’re in Santa Marta. Shoutout Oni and Monica for everything <3

Best coliving space in Santa Marta hands down.  Ideal place to work hard and party harder!! Love the food, hospitality, location. If you are a digital nomad like me (web developer) you have it all. Fast internet, nice desks, bean bags to chill.

Come here!

The hostel looks great and the amenities are beautiful. However, they advertise it as a coworking place where you can live work and rest. While we were there, they hosted an official party on the flamingo rooftop. The party goes on until 4 am and it is loud you won't be able to sleep. We traveled through many party hostels in the last 8 months of traveling and nowhere we found this. The noise was all over the hostel so a change of room didn't help. On the night of the parties, you cant access the kitchen after 5 pm because it serves as a bar. Also, the people coming to the party are locals - paying admission as in a nightclub and then drunk strangers roam the hostel. If you wish to party Thu-Sunday until morning, then you will love it. If you need to sleep, stay somewhere else.

Great if you are looking for parties and no sleep

We had to work one day during our holidays, so we went to Flamingo. The space is very cool: nice vibe, a lot of space, good wifi. We stayed there almost the whole day and had no problems at all. We'll come back anytime we need to.

Perfect place to coworkers in Santa Marta

WIFI: Flamingo has great wifi overall. It was usually around 50+ down. When the coworking space is busy, the connection was not great and went down multiple times. If you have an important meeting or require an uninterrupted connection, I would recommend staying in a private room and using an ethernet cord. 

NOISE: There is a lot of construction noise coming from next door. This was disruptive during meetings at times. They continue construction even on locked down days. It stops at night. 
At night you can often hear loud partying. The fans in the rooms do a great job of blocking out most of this noise and we rarely had problems sleeping. 

FOOD: There is a restaurant in La Brisa (connected/same building). The food is okay. We opted to get deliveries through Rappi when we weren't able to eat out. 

The staff are the best part of Flamingo! They are incredibly nice and welcoming. We would definitely stay here (or one of the sister properties) again!

Great coworking and coliving environment

I haven’t stayed here but I use it as a co working space. Staff are brilliant, Internet is very fast, free coffee is a bonus. Have a number of different options to you depending on your requirements. Also run spanish classes but I haven’t tried these yet. Definitely recommend
