What a beautiful and peaceful place! We enjoyed every minute of our 3-day stay and were sorry to leave Maison Suzanne. The place is in easy walking distance to the old city yet located away from all the noise and hectic mass tourism within its walls. Our very spacious and comfortable room looked out on a eucalyptus grove and the gorgeous Cangshan mountains, one of the greatest attractions of Dali. The downstairs dining room has a panoramic view of both the mountains and the lake. Every part of this place is inviting and comfortable. The owners, Daniel and Quiao Fei, are a lovely couple always ready to accomodate their guests, provide information, make travel arrangements and be otherwise available. The breakfasts they serve were the best we had on our entire trip. They also run a little French-inspired restaurant with delicious food and foreign and domestic wines. French, English and other foreign languages spoken. Warmly recommended!
