Beautiful view over the marina. Breakfast is okay.

Pros: the terrace overlooks the harbor, hotel is very close to the port and center of Mindelo, and the staff was friendly.  Despite the old building/dingy room, the towels and linens were clean. Cons: the building itself is quite old and rundown - the shower head was very rusty, the toilet was held together by a clamp, and I don't think the staff could get the room clean trying their hardest.  The bedding was insufficient - just 2 tiny pillows, a small sheet that doesn't cover 2 people, and thin blanket that likely doesn't get washed after each guest.  The bed was super uncomfortable on top of this.  Normally we're not too fussy about the bed type, but this was truly uncomfortable for both of us and we didn't sleep much as a result.We chose this hotel as we had an early ferry in the morning and wanted something simple and close.  It is indeed simple and close, but more like a private hostel room than a 50 GBP/night hotel.

Lovely view, uncomfortable stay

The hotel is clean, our room was nice and comfortable with an amazing view.  
This is very nice except that you get the noise from the city and don't expect nights in Mindelo to be quiet.
Unfortunately breakfast is served too late to let you catch the ferry for Santo Antao.

Really good location: next to the port and 2 minutes from city center.
My room had no view, however the room itself was more than basic. Although the double bed was not that comfortable and there was curtain for the shower. But I received 4 towels and it was really really clean. Oh and the wifi is not that good. 
I didnt like Mindelo but if you are stucked in this city because of your flight or the ferry: residencial Jenny is a really good option. Also the breakfast is amazing and the staff is really kind and helpfull. 
You can check inn really early and if you go out you can leave your key at the reception. You need to check out at noon but you can leave your lugage at the reception.

Best option in Mindelo

Stayed here for a week. Very affordable prices. Cheaper when you book online. View from the room was to die for. Good options with breakfast. Close to the town center and beach (laginha) and very good restaurants within proximity.

Superb Sea

We stayed in the residential 3 days and I Would not recommend this place bc some of my things were stolen from my luggage in the room. 
I hope the owner sees this review and try to contact me.

Positive:
Friendly reception personnel
Great views over the city and the sea from the expensive rooms

Negative:
Entrance/Reception did more look like a Garage
Wifi only in lobby area
Breakfast was only ok .. if you are late the buffet is empty and the do not refill the buffet
not much English spoken
