Sunshine B&B in Old Town

Our group of 8 stayed @ Sonny's for a total of 5 nights; 2 nights in early July and then 3 nights @ the end of July, after 20 days of paddling.  Sonny is an excellent host - great accommodation for our group of 8, wonderful breakfasts, and Sonny helped us out in transporting our equipment from the airport to the Air Tindi Float plane base.  With the B&B located close to the Air Tini float plane base in wonderful Old Town, close to some fine restaurants - makes Sonny's our goto B&B when we are in Yellowknife.  Our group of 8 highly recommends Sonny's B&B as a great B&B to stay at while in Yellowknife !!

We stayed here for a night.  The room was neat and tidy.  The owner was very attentive.  We left the room door open as it was little cold we needed to let the warm air in, then the owner brought us the portable heater for extra warmth even though we didn't complain or anything.
He had tripod for rent (just for 10CAD) so we rented the tripod, then he explained about the Aurora photography and gave us some good tips on taking good shots.
The breakfast next day was nice too.  We had a soup, coffee, fresh fruits and homemade omelet.  The time was from 9:30 AM till 10:30AM.
This place was very well managed and comfortable.
The bonus is... we need to take off shoes upon entering, they have big entrance to do so.
I would definitely comeback here again.

FYI I saw the bulletin board there which advertised the airport pick up service.
(I think it was 20CAD for 1-2 PAX, 40CAD for 3-4 PAX)

Stayed for 6 days and joined their northern lights hunting tour. I'm satisfied with everything (a cozy room/ bathrooms, fantastic breakfasts, friendly owners, winter gear rent, hunting tours, etc.)
It's located in old town which means you may have more chances to see the northern lights right outside. I've seen aurora in front of the house!!!
Haven't decided your accommodation yet? Don't hesitate to contact them! I highly recommend this place.

If you are looking for a cozy&friendly place in Old Town Yellowknife, i can say this is perfect place.
I stayed at this place for 3 nights and it was on of the best travel experiences that i ever had. Even though i arrived late at night, Sonny welcomed me and introduced about the town and b&b facility. The place was very clean, and warm (it is important especially in YellowKnife). Every morning they provide me delicious meal ( different meal day by day )!! Sonny and his wife also helped me to go out for a winter activity such as dog sledding and it was so much fun. The best thing was the Aurora Tour! I joined Sonnyauroratour for 2 nights and other than seeing aurora, we did fun activities too!! Sonny also took the coolest pictures of me with the aurora too! 
I had so much fun in YK, and i surely do want to come back here again.

한국에서부터 19시간 비행 끝에 옐로나이프에 도착했는데요! 집 주인 분이 한국인이시기 때문에 원활한 의사소통을 위해 이곳으로 숙소를 정한 것도 있었지만, 지내면서 정말 정말 잘한 선택이었다고 생각하게 되었습니다. 다운 타운에 호텔들이 있지만 저에게는 가격이 비싸기도 하고 올드 타운이 뭔가 더 매력이 있었거든요. 다운 타운에 갈 때는 택시나 버스를 이용하면 됐는데, 필요한게 다 있어서 다운 타운이 갈일은 한번? 정도 밖에 없었던 것 같아요. 숙소 자체도 굉장히 깨끗했고, 방도 혼자 사용하기에 충분히 넓었어요. 아침도 매일 아침 주인 내외분께서 요리해서 만들어 주세요! 영양적으로도 균형있게 제공해주셔서 좋았습니다. 사장님께서 하시는 오로라투어에 참여했는데 다른 투어들은 오로라가 나오기까지 차에서 기다리고 티피에서 기다리는 반면에 그 시간을 활용해서 트렉킹, 썰매타기, 눈 조각 만들기, 텐트에서 감자 옥수수 구워먹기!! 를 이틀 밤만에 다하고 오로라까지 봤네요. 엄청 멋진 사진들도 찍어주십니다👍🏼 지금 옐로나이프를 시작으로 다른 도시들도 여행중인데 옐로나이프가 제일 좋았고 계속 기억에 남을 것 같아요!!!! 선샤인 비엔비 짱💕

The room was fairly small but very clean and comfortable.  There is also a large comfortable sitting room for reading or making a cup of tea.  Breakfasts are tasty and varied.  The location is easy walking from many of the sights.
