I had heard they had cheap wings and decided to pop in after work. It was like stepping into an old movie . The place was full of rough looking older day drinkers. I felt like I was not welcome...i think I was the only woman there except the waitress. The wings were great and the waitress was nice but it was an akward place and I got out pretty quickly

Bit weird

It's located in a small Town of Surrey on Hwy.10 called Cloverdale. It's a small pub that reminds me of the Bars I used to go to back in the 70s and early 80s. They have good service and the food there is very good. The price is right. 

Old style Pub

The Clydesdale is a Cloverdale landmark, an older hotel that offers a clean, basic room for $69/night.  Yes, the old girl needs a facelift and is more than a little tattered in a physical sense but the friendly, helpful staff and very modest prices make up for the lack of fancy finish,  The in-house liquor store (open 'til 11 PM) is well-stocked and features the best prices I've seen anywhere in the Vancouver area.  The major attraction of this hotel is the pub and the karaoke.  Tuesday, Friday, and Saturday nights the place rocks to the tunes offered by the amateur singers--some of them are exceptionally good singers--and new singers are warmly welcomed.  Food is unpretentious Canadian fare, with a nightly special at less than $10.  Ample free parking.

Rousing Good Times!

When I checked in I was informed that there was no cable or air conditioning. I was aware of the no air conditioning at the time of booking. When checking in I was quoted one price for the room and was told that I would have to pay on a nightly basis as this is what the owner prefers. I went back the second night to pay, and was told a different rate for the night and when I asked the lady informed me that the person who checked us in screwed up. And that it was to be $69 per night. I also paid by debit both nights for the room. And again to come and pay again for the next day. Went back for the 3rd day to pay and was told that it is $69 per night and I would have to put it all on my credit card. When I started to question this I was given 4 different prices for the room. And was told at one point that they would honor the original price.  But it would have to be put on my credit card and not pay for by debit. I did have the one staff member call the owner about this and explain the situation for him. She did come back and said we could just do it on debit but it would be $65 per night. So I figured ok that's fine. After filling out the hotel info sheet she then came back and said it had to be on a  credit card... even though she just said I could do it on debit. 

Needless to say after all that and not working with the customer to make it work. I found another hotel that had availability for the remainder. I will never go back and will not recommend it to anyone. 

Not worth it

Could not fault anything at this hotel its truely amazing staff are friendly spotless inside lovely reastruant kind friendly easy to talk to staff would happily go back there with work, friends or family its so good best hotel ive stayed in so far happily reccommend for anyone to go there id advise you to thank you so much to all the staff at the clydesdale hotel x
