We loved our 2 night stay in the studio suite which is a detached building and has all kinds of charm and a cheery atmosphere. Having a kitchenette with fridge and microwave was handy, along with a little table and chairs. Our host JoEllen was friendly and we appreciated all the extras such as the lemon scented diffuser, a pedestal fan, the access to our own barbecue, and the sitting areas outside around our suite. We also enjoyed the lovely gardens and the central shared deck with an ocean view, as well as being able to walk down the stairs and onto the Inn's private dock. We could hear a bit of road noise during the day but we weren't bothered by it, and things were quiet at night. The Seascape Inn was a great place to stay at after driving the Pacific Marine Circle route and exploring areas such as China Beach and the Sooke Potholes. We also appreciated the extra efforts JoEllen is making to keep her guests safe and healthy during the COVID-19 pandemic. 

Cozy Studio Suite

We loved our stay at the Seascape Inn! The owner JoEllen is so gracious and welcoming. It is obvious she cares deeply about her guests’ experience both at her inn and in Sooke in general. The cottage is located down a set of stairs from the owners home but feels very private. We appreciated the well groomed gardens and grounds including a new boat dock. The oceanfront cottage is totally charming! We loved unwinding on the deck with our own hot tub and looking out at the sea. The interior is immaculately clean and the “beachy” decor delightful. In general, the attention to detail is remarkable. Everything you could possibly want or need for a relaxing stay is here. So many special touches! The inn is close to restaurants and amenities but feels like a complete escape.  We hope to be back for a longer stay.

Special Cottage by the Sea

We were 2 couples sharing the two bedroom suite.  Our unit didn’t have an ocean view, however we spent most of our time on the deck overlooking the ocean.  We were fully welcome to use the well maintained property, deck, and wharf.  Property has beach access. 

Our unit was well equipped with very comfy beds, quality kitchen and cooking ware.  We used our own (clean) hot tub and enjoyed cooking on the Webber gas grill in our private sitting area.

The owners were very welcoming and attentive to our needs.  The host was aware of my brother in laws birthday, and to our surprise there was cake, ice cream, and sparkling wine waiting for us.  Not to mention the kitchen came with the basics (coffee, tea, sugar, cream, olive oil) and a bathroom with shampoo, conditioner, soap etc.

(I would recommend the cabin unit for a romantic getaway as it has a ocean view.)

Great setting, and amenities 

The place has new owners, Jo-Ellen and Brian and they are assisted by a wonderful lady, Brian's mother Joan. They are wonderful hosts. They are also doing some great projects to improve the property. This was our third time coming here and it is the perfect place for a quiet relaxing get-away. Hard to beat this one.

Love the Cottage

We were really surprised to find such a nice place.We had the suite at this place with one bedroom and a livingroom with kitchen area.We had our own hot tub which we unfortunately only used the last evening during our three day stay(which we really regretted)!!This apartment has a wonderful overlook of the sea, everything is nicely decorated and well thought of.You can see that it all has a female, caring touch.We had liked to stay longer and therefor shorten our stay in Vancouver after our stay at this nice  Inn.In case that we should return to Vancouver Island one day we for sure will try to stay there again.Thanks ,Cathy ,for making it such a nice experience, the best during our long travel through West Canada!

Best you can find

We stayed in the cottage closest to the water for 3 nights in June. It had been completely remodeled compared to the online pictures and was absolutely perfect. Very beachy style and very clean, with a gorgeous view of Sooke Harbor. No traffic noise at all in the cottage. Very accommodating host too. Nice to have the private hot tub on the deck. We also made use of the gas grill right outside the front door.
